1. The fact that Heathen has 5 really good singles, puts it ahead of Giants and Truth for me.Sunday Morning Call is a good tune.I enjoy it.But,IMO,it is not single material.Like Let There Be Love,Sunday Morning Call is too slow, and long for a single.

Like Truth,Giants only had the 2 big singles.Heathen had 5 quality singles.

  2. I'm with you, I guess - I'm a big fan of that song!

  3. But the first two (three, including FITB) songs are impressive... and gas panic is really good, too.
  4. I guess I'm not enough of an Oasis maniac to know what all these acronyms stand for.
  5. Standing on the shoulder of giants is a very good album, sort of experimental in some things ... surely a very good deviation from what it was Be here now which is the one they shouldn't have released (if there is one)

  6. i'm not a fan of acronyms hehehe .. i hate them sometimes

I'm used to them for U2 and for some Muse, but I get really lost with SOTSGO, FITB, etc for Oasis...

  8. Time to build your Oasis catalogue, Sergio.

SOTSOG - Standing on the Shoulder (not a typo) of Giants (2000 studio album)
HC - Heathen Chemistry (2002 studio album)
DBTT - Don't Believe The Truth (2005 studio album)
FITB - Fxxking (I have kids) in the Bushes (opening instrumental track to SOTSOG)

Just in case it comes up in later posts:
DOYS - Dig Out Your Soul (2008 studio album)
  9. hmmm... I don't know whether to thank you or hate you for that post, Matt... I have enough things on my mind to learn all of these stupid acrony...**wait, I have already learnt them. Oh well

  10. Thanking and hating don't have to be mutually exclusive.

My response to you: You're welcome/please forgive me.

I was just kidding. It's an insignificant effort that I know I'll end up doing sometime, as I did with Muse or Coldplay. No worries

"Urgently making love" in the bushes is an amazing song, I liked when they opened their shows with it.
