There seems to be an app for everything for all taks but there might not necessarily be a selection of apps for that task.

Desperately hoping for a traditional on device podcast manager. Seems to be all I'm missing from the N8.

I might try my hand at developing apps for WP7 - currently working on one for Android and I've learnt a lot about programming in Java. Coming from a Microsoft background though and using (and admittedly enjoying) Visual Basic for about 4 years, I'm thinking the WP7 would be easier to develop for.
  2. + 1 I am not really an developer (yet) but I dig the MS tools, Visual Studio and .NET framework. Too bad they let us use Eclipse all the time at uni

I'm using Eclipse for Android. Do prefer Microsoft's tools though.
  4. I remember the Android emulator is terribly slow Did they fix that ?

  5. No. Runs like a snail. I load it onto my phone now though, runs perfectly. Everything about the emulator is bad, slow boot, slow response to input.
  6. Yeah I didnt have an android phone at the time Still dont. The android SDK looked decent though
  7. WP would be a good choice. Its the only platform at the moment that doesn't have a saturated app ecosystem.
  8. I think I will definitely switch to iPhone when I grow tired and/or something happens to the N8.
  9. way too expensive
  10. I'm thinking of iPhone as well. I'm tired of my shitty old phone that doesn't work properly anymore.
  11. Would rather a Nokia 3310 than an iPhone.

You say that as if the 3310 was a bad thing ... It was one of the first phones we ALL had, and a true beast by the time. If I recall right, it's the 2nd or 3rd highest sold phone of all time.

Why don't you like iPhones, Tim?
