    I guess something around 10 centimeters is something I'd call a little.

    My cousin, who was an au pair in England said that just a few centimeters got everything cancelled.

    I took a tape measure out last year and put it in 6 inches of snow. Was even worse in Scotland. I'll see if I still have the photo I took.

    That's a bit of snow then, still, not that much really. Not anywhere close enough to get anything cancelled. I've never had school or anything cancelled because of snow, and there's been some snow here at times.
  8. I measured 9 inches here in Scotland last year. School was cancelled for two days, although I couldn't be arsed going in for the rest of the week, so I used the snow as an excuse. The week after, the bus service was cancelled because of this blizzard, in which we were all sent home from school too.

    Look Olof, it's because Scandanavian countries expect snow; they are always guaranteed to get it. We're not. There has been some years when we have never gotten snow at all. We can't even predict it. It snowed last night and no one even saw that coming.
