    Yes,I believe SLC is a soundboard,I could be wrong.Its very raw.Nice deep sound.There are some mistakes,but it wasnt a bigtime show,as was the Soldier Field gig.The Chicago gig is a classic.IMO,it doesnt sound as good as SLC.Play Go from both gigs,then you will see.Plus,the Sodier Field boot has a bigtime tin sound to it.SLC doesnt.

    The Chicago gig is way more famous,no question, than the SLC gig.Thats why I like SLC more. Its really only known by the hardcore fans.

    Plus SLC has Red Mosquito !!!!!!
  2. I only recently started to appreciate Red Mosquito - used to kind of consider it a throwaway song (gasp!). Smile is another track from No Code that I have never really appreciated - especially for a track so early in an album. I think it's due for my lack of love for the harmonica.
  3. Maybe thats because you didnt hear the songs live? I hated No Code when it came out.To this day,Im baffled by it.The songs sounded like cheap demo's.The "experimentation" on No Code didnt work.

    After a fast start,it died a quick,ugly death. I only liked the songs on NC, after I heard them live at the famous Randalls Island 09.29.96 gig.A classic show.3 wild hours of great music.Crowd surfing,mosh pits.It was really nuts.I retreated to the back for safety.LOL.Im being serious.I actually wanted to hear them,and listen to the music.I think I was the only one.LOL.

    They played in that dump,because the band were involved in the fight against Ticketmaster.I respected their cause.But,I would have much rather paid the few bucks to TM,(right or wrong) and seen them in MSG.


    No Code has some incredible songs.Great lyrics.If these great songs,were given some life,NC might have done much better.

    The only way to enjoy No Code,is to listen to the songs LIVE.The best sounding boot,from '96,has always been Berlin.

    By the way,Immortality, from SLC (11.01.95) is fantastic.

  5. 10C had yet ANOTHER ticket fiasco today.AGAIN.I cant remember the last time it wasnt a nightmare trying to get tickets from 10C.I dont understand,why,its so hard for them to distribute tickets.Im going to the Isle of Wright Festival.10C were not involved with that show,thank GOD.It,of course, went without a glitch.

    Today,I tried, to see if I could get tickets to the Amsterdam gig.I wanted to see if I could actually get 10C tickets,and I would try to extend my stay in Europe by a few days.Site crashed.Its still down !!!

    Same thing has happened over and over and over with 10C.Past summer,I almost didnt get tickets to the Montreal gig.I spent,get this,close to 2 DAYS on the computer.Their site crashed,then came up.Then crashed again.We were told there will be another presale.A mess.This ALWAYS happens.

    Dave Matthews Band - The Warehouse Fan Club,in 10 years,I have never,ever ,had one problem getting tickets.Both bands have a great,dedicated fanbase.DMB still actually play,and sell out stadiums,at least here in the US.So, its not like there is no interest in DMB.So,why is it,that 1 fanclub works,and the other never seems to ?

    U2s presales, also never have a glitch.But,unlike the 10C and The Warehouse,U2 use Ticket-bastard-master only.In other words,U2s fanclub do not distribute tickets.In the many years, buying tickets through U2s fanclub,I also,have never had one single problem getting tickets.U2 use the seniority system.10C stopped with that a few years back,which,of course,I dont agree with.

    Sorry for the rant here,but,Pearl Jams fan club, have dropped the ball once again.Check out PJ.coms forums.Fans are flipping out today.This will not be the last time this happens either.Because,this ALWAYS happens.

    10C is an amateur operation,run by amateurs, who dont have a clue as to what the hell they are doing.Im truly and honestly disgusted.

    I obviously love this band,but this is a terrible reflection on them.

    Im sure this situation, has also affected quite a few European fans, from this forum.

  7. Matt,Im so pissed.This always happens.PJ only play mini-tours since 2007.Imagine if this was for a full tour ? Like in 2006 ? Forget it.They dont know how to handle it.A shame really.....

  9. Yes....I have been in 10C for many,many years.They cant handle selling tickets.The Warehouse never has a problem at all.I dont understand this.....

  11. Its PJ people.They brought in,just recently, another group to assist.Crowdsurge.To no avail Im afraid.

    They should hire a ......wait for it............CORPORATION...gasp.......to handle this situation.It never fails to happen.

    Here's a question: Live on TWO Legs was made up of various songs from the American leg(s) of the 1998 tour. Did they record all of their shows back then and just not release them or (assuming they did record them) has there ever been any talk about getting them out to the "public?"

    Just curious (and greedy, I suppose).
