1. The Toronto gig from 09.11 is amazing.IMO,its the best gig from the Canadian Tour.
  2. That 1995 Melbourne bootleg is absoutely spectacular! Thanks for suggesting it, Ed!

  3. i'm more for the Hamilton one but that's great indeed
  4. Originally posted by EDDMB:PJ Radio, are playing the full Melbourne gig, from 03.17.95, on Sirius radio.Just started.Take a listen (if you have Sirius),then download this baby....Sounds great.

As great as the other 1995 boots you've guys have suggested over the past few days, this one leaves all of them behind.

  5. Does the fact that they played "Immortality" there for the one and only time on the Canadian tour have anything to do with your preference, Ronnie?
  6. Immortality could be a factor .. i felt a very moving and pasionate Better Man too for example .. preceded by I remember you .. that date (or 16 if they don't play on 15th) is always particular for Eddie and it seems to me he always shows it .. similar case in Verona '06

A classic 2 nights in Toronto.I drove up,and saw the band in Montreal, and saw a really solid gig.But the Toronto shows are just brilliant. That second encore N1 ?..I would have shit myself right there..LOL...Full Chloe ?..into Crown ?..followed by Alive..Then RITFW w Uncle Neil ??? ...One word.........Epic....

This mix is 3 hrs,19 min....if its too long, drop a couple tunes, but I couldnt..I love all those songs and actually left quite a few out......
  8. Hey...I wanted to do this first...no fair.

Well, done. I couldn't help but notice the omission of songs like Go, Porch, and Yellow Ledbetter. What gives?
  9. LOL...well..I went with Long Road from N1, as the opener, not Go from N2.Yellow Led ended N2,I ended with RITFW.I dont like to use the same opners,or the same closing tune for a mix.Porch, yes I left that one out...my bad. ....lets end the main set with it,since it did indeed end both evenings sets...Ill edit...
  10. Fair enough. However, you could get away with not starting with Go and not ending with RITFW as they don't always open/close shows. The real problem begins when "Sometimes" and "Release" get into the mix since they, like Long Road (usually) ONLY open shows and are not played anywhere else in the set. I've made a few mixes where I try to start with three openers. It just doesn't work, unfortunately.
  11. Listened to the Saskatoon throughout the day today. Definitely the weakest of the bunch so far. The first five shows seem to have a little more umph than the second five. Might be in my head however. They had played most of the classics during the first half of the ten shows and seemed to bring back only a few other yet-to-be-played gems for the remaining five shows. What I am getting at is I wanted the Winnipeg show mainly for "Indifference," the Saskatoon show for "Spin the Black Circle," the Calgary show for "Release," the Edmonton show for..."Life Wasted," I guess, and the Vancouver show for "Save You." I'll keep listening, however, as I truly don't to come across as ungrateful for Kieran's and Ronnie's purchases as it's very cool having the entire Canadain tour. I guess I just feel the first five have so much more energy (and less Avocado/covers) than the second five.

Yes I agree. The problem though, when you use 2 songs that start a gig, they both fade in.So,after the first song ends, there is an abrupt stop in the crowds noise,if your next track is another opening song. You get the crowd fade in again.Same goes for the closing tunes.I hate that in my mixes.I like them to sound as smooth as possible.

I love Go,but it was the opening song for N2,and Long Road, opened N1,its an absolute classic. As for Ledbetter. Its a great tune, just kinda played out for me.So,it was a no brainer to go with RITFW when Neil joined in as far as a choice.

When you get a chance, maybe you can do a full Canadian mix.I dont have the Winnipeg show. How is it ?

I do agree, the first 4 -5 gigs had alot more power to them.
