1. It's not horrible, really. There are a couple of decent tracks. It could have been "saved," however, with the inclusion of a guitar-driven track or two - or how about adding in "Big Boots" and/or "Follow Me Around?" Also, the omission of "The Daily Mail" is baffliing. Awesome tune.
  2. I dont think Thom wanted the album saved. Its his vision. Its his blips and blurbs. Its The Eraser Pt 2.Ed Obrien and Jonny Greenwood, are virtually nonexistent on this release.Johnny continues to forget, hes the lead guitarist in friggin Radiohead. He is one of the greatest guitarists of the modern era.Last couple of years,he would rather makes "sounds" from his laptop and his glockenspiel.

    Very frustrating indeed.

    Im sorry.IMO.... KOL is awful.
  3. The King of Limbs is incredible imo, Give Up the Ghost, Lotus Flower, and Separator are up there with their best albums imo

but yeah, i don't see how these beautful songs will translate live
  4. I think/hope KOL will come alive live,as Kid A did.I pray the band go back an do what they do best.Play music. Not samples of music.

In Rainblows was brilliant. It was a mixture, of all their sounds mixed into one release.

Nothing like cranking up Bodysnatchers to get the blood flowing.....

    KOL died a quick death.....
  5. I do like The Butcher though....its eerie...as is Give Up The Ghost.....

In Rainbows is brilliant...arguably their second best album. You're bang-on with Bodysnatchers. Also, Reckoner is a classic while Wierd Fishes and 15 Step (or is it "Steps" - I always forget) are gems. The other songs are very ...chill - in a good way. Gotta love the addional tracks as well. Up on the Ladder is awesome.
  7. I know Johnny and Ed are in the background, but I think Colin and Phil shine ont the album. Even on Feral, which is In my five least favorite Radiohead songs, Phil's drumming is incredible. Yes, I would much prefer the guitar of Bodysnatchers or Weird Fishes, but the beats the rhythem section came up with make it worth listening to the album. I do wish they had included The Daily Mail and Staircase.

This might get me into even more trouble, but sometimes I put In Rainbows as my favorite Radiohead album. I just love every song on it. I love every song on OKC and Kid A as well, but it just seems to come together for me with IR.
  8. I can appreciate why some people like IR better than OKC. It truly is a great album. However, OKC just has too many classics and brings back too many (good) memories for me to rank it any lower than #1. It ranks just below Achtung Baby as my all-time favourite.
  9. Those three would certainly be in my top five all time, just with the order changing depending on how I feel. If you told me I could only listen to those three albums for the rest of my life I could live with that.

    quote letter by letter
i couldn't have said it better .. oh well also for my bad english hehehe
Radiohead "without" Jonny are not Radiohead .. and right he's one of the greatest guitarists and ingenious

agree .. The eraser --> King (raser part 2)
but The eraser is nice enough .. King of Limbs no

i was hoping that when i first listened to KoL but after listening a couple of boots (Glasto, Roseland and some tv appearances my hopes are almost definetely gone.
i don't see "Everything in the right place", "How to disappear completely", "Optimistic", "Idioteque", "In limbo", "Morning bell" in King of Limbs .. sorry
