1. Fan runs onto the field, gets beat down by the keeper.....who then gets red carded. WTF?
  2. Let me explain what happened last night, Ajax and AZ played the last, cup, match before the winter break. Ajax leads 1-0 and than in the 35th minute some fucking asshole, cunt, idiot, say what you want comes out of the disabled platform behind the goal and tries to hit the GK of AZ. Ofcourse the GK of AZ (Estban) wants to defend himself so he kick that idiot, according to the FIFA (Hey Fifa where do we know them from) rules the ref should give a red card to the GK because he uses violence on the field, a really stupid rule imo. After Esteban gets a red card, the manager of AZ Verbeek is so pissed he decided to get his team of the field and go home. And that is really great and brave decision.

Im really angry that one fucking asshole alone destroys this game and the name of Ajax. I hope that the KNVB (Dutch soccer association) wont punish AZ, since they walked of the field it could be a automatic 3-0 for Ajax, but punish Ajax since its Ajax who is responsible for the safety in the stadium.

And before I forget it, to bad they didnt let Esteban finish of that idiot.
  3. Seeing this right now on the news, what is the goalie meant to do? Let the fan hit him? If ur stupid enough to run on the field and assult a player then u deserve a kick up the arse.
  4. Yep, the point is that the rules say the referee needs to give the card. Goalie wont be punished though, think they will destroy the red card. Ajax might be out of the cup as the punishment. Sadly as Ajax fan, i cant disagree when they are kicked out.

Thanks to that 19yr old drunken trash, who abused the area close to the field for disabled persons to make a complete dickhead out of himself. Should be prosecuted for assault.
  5. odd situation
it should be (for the rules) 0 - 3 for Az for the invasion, but i guess it comes if the player can't go on with the match, so a high fine more likely.
and at the same time 3 - 0 for Ajax for Az leaving the field ... 3 - 3 in the end hehe
but Az should be disqualified for one year from the competition again for leaving the field, like happened to AC Milan years ago which abandoned during a champions cup (it was not Champions League yet if i remember well) match against Olympique Marseille .. but this is a UEFA rule, so don't know regarding the Dutch federation.
  6. like the commentator said: "wat een idiot" .. that says it all

that idiot was clearly attacking the gk, look how he attempted to jump into him full force. GK has every right to defend himself. Rules have the red card and all, but I guess, like others have said before, the red card will be taken back and Ajax will be punished 0:3 for this game. Security is incredibly poor when someone like that can run onto the field like that. You can be glad nothing more serious happened to the GK I hate that.
The reaction of the Verbeek manager is one I've not seen before. Drama. But understandable.

No good day for Dutch football
adding to that, our Dutch star Huntelaar insulted the line referee twice within just a few seconds last night so he got the yellow-red card... which broke our neck and made us lose like idiots.
  7. I think that GK could probably have taken it a little bit easier. He could've just tackled him to the ground easily. Football player in excellent shape vs Drunk person can only end one way. His reaction is understandable though.

+1 .. he was already on the ground
  9. Yeah, he could've just held him to the ground.
  10. Regardless of whether he was being attacked or not it's not his job to reprimand pitch invaders. He should have just pushed him to the ground and left it for the stewards. Kicking seven shades of you know what through him was asking for a red card for violent conduct. Defend yourself then get back to the task at hand, don't try and make yourself look big in front of 50,000 people. Deserved red card, deserves three match ban and warning for future conduct and that's it. In the England it's not possible to overturn a red card because the referees decision is final. I doubt Ajax will be kicked out of the competition in all honesty, probably fined for failure to control their fans. Goalkeeper's actions will have no impact on the outcome because he's been punished. The referee's decision would've been to forfeit the game in Alkmaar's? favour if he had deemed it not safe, but he didn't.

Violence is not acceptable, particularly from a sportsperson who may be a role model to younger players. The fan will get his punishment and he took the beating.

It's a football match not a prison. I'd say the problem is alcohol at football matches not security.

Reminds me of the childish reaction from Lille in the Champions League a few years ago.
  11. I completely agree with Verbeek to step of the field, its time the players, trainers and clubs are going to do something against the ones who destroy the game; UEFA and Fifa.
And the reason why that guy could go so easily on the field is because straight behind the goal of Estaban there is a big platform for disabled people so that they can see the game in the stadium too, but dont ask me what the stewards are doing. How can someone could go so easily on the field
