1. rumors .. but very rumors .. give Eddie in Rome on July 27th ..
  2. Would you make the trek down?
  3. oh yeah .. if it should happen and if better places (read more "comfortable" for me) shouldn't appear
  4. Yesterday I realized the beauty that is 'Better Man'. Hope they'll play it when I see them live.
  5. most likely they will
  6. Top 10 list-IMO

Go- best opener in their catalog. A swift kick right to the chin.

Yellowledbetter- I remember being around 8 or 9 when I first heard this and instantly fell in love. I anxiously purchased Vitalogy expecting this to be on it and was severly disappointed (as was my father lol). I didn't know what a b side was yet. I actually resented Vitalogy for a while because this wasn't on it.

Alive- amazing amazing amazing. Always will be in my top 5 songs of all time.

In my tree- took a while for me to get into but has definitely morphed into a favorite. Great lyrics and me being a drummer , I love the tribal drumming of Jack Irons although I do feel Matt is the best drummer they ever had.

Do the Evolution- I must admit, I hated this song for it's first 5 yrs of existence. then something happened. This song made the garden rumble as witnessed in the DVD. I never experienced anything like it. Since then this song is a live staple for me. It's one of their best live songs and never fails to bring down the house.

Sad- omg this song has some really sad and amazing lyrics that strike a chord with me. Shame it didn't make Binaural. One of the few songs left on my "havent seen yet live" list. Maybe soon

Black- the centerpiece of one of the best debut albums of all time. Pure emotion, especially live.

Breathe- "if I knew where it was, I would take you there, Theres much more than this!" first time I seen this song live that line gave me chills that I'll never forget. 3rd B side on this list and the best IMO.

Nothingman- beautiful song that kinda caught me off guard first time I heard it. My personal favorite from Vitalogy

RVM- I don't even know what to say. Do I need to say anything?

    Honorable mentions

    Betterman
    Corduroy
    Release
    In hiding
    Leash

  7. It's one of the top 10 most frequently performed songs by the band so there's a great chance you'll get to hear/see it. Gotta love "Save it for Later." I recommend that you listen to the version from one of the 2003 Mexico City shows (I can't remember off hand which of the three concerts it in in). It is FANTASTIC!

I have currently omitted it from my 2011 Canadian Tour compilation (four discs - creation still in progress). Since it was played in Toronto (Night 2) and by your comments, maybe I should rethink my decision.

  9. As much as I love this song, I have come to appreciate the anticipation of it (and heavy hitters like it) being the "swift kick" as the second song in a show. I love listening to "build up/slow burn" songs like Sometimes, Release, or Long Road to open - and then...BOOM!

I agree from the live point of view but the album openers are usually heavy songs. Pretty much all except No code and riot act start with a bang. Release is one of their best live opening songs!
  11. Oh, yeah. I was thinking live...I forgot about the studio albums (rarely listen to those anymore).

However, even songs like Once, Go, Last Exit, and Brain of J have a few-second, quieter intro before the....BOOM!

Sometimes and Can't Keep are two of my favourites from their respective albums.
