    Ten is solid throughout...more cohesive.

Vs. is great - awesome - Daughter, G,o Animal, RVVM, Small Town... are spectacular but then there are a few tracks that I am not a huge fan of...not the case with Ten.

The reason for the change is that I have been listening to a an ungodly amount of Pearl Jam in 2011 - and I have been a fan (not a fanatic like now) since 1992. I suppose I have come to appreciate Ten's strengths (it also has better b-sides) and notice Vs.'s weaknesses. Still, I would put both albums on my all-time top ten list.

it will still take some time and you'll put also Vitalogy a bit above Vs trust me .. i have patience

EDIT: i don't mean Vitalogy is more cohesive though .. but i prefer it and .. anticipating Matt .. not only cause Immortality is there hehe

Vitalogy is in my top 15.

  6. VERY good point.

To be honest, I've probably been basing the majority of my rankings based on how much I enjoy the LIVE versions of these songs. Aside, from Ten and Riot Act, I haven't listened to too much studio stuff.
  7. odd that you or Nick haven't thought of giving different rankings one for live and one for studio hehehe
you must be true Letterman top 10 lists lovers, do you?
don't want to give you both "insane" thoughts though hehe
  8. and for Christmas homework ... here Vitalogy

    Immortality
    Corduroy
    Nothingman
    Not For You
Better Man (live gains lot of points)
    Spin the Black Circle
    Whipping
    Last Exit
    Tremor Christ
    Satan's Bed
    Stupid Mop

    Merry Christmas Jammers
  9. Like U2 and, to a lesser extent Radiohead, I rarely listen to PJ's studio albums so I don't even know if I could give a fair assessment of each studio album anymore. If I started listening to, say, Vitalogy, I would get through the first few songs and say to myself, "Why am I listening to something I've a hundred times when I could play some fresh live versions of these songs."

Thank god for all those studio albums but there's a good chance I am done with many of them.

  10. Just like Daughter, Better Man becomes holy with the crowd sing-alongs and its out-of-this-world snippet, Save it for Later. I rank it second on Vitalogy but if I did consider it live (which according to my previous post, I should) I may very well place it ahead of Corduroy.

    Buon Natale, Ronnie.
