  1. I'm very hesitant to get excited for this album. When I hear things like "we're not looking to throw a curveball" and "Do things we've already done well and hone in on that" I can't help but be afraid that it's going to be nothing new. There's going to be some more lyrics about devils and redemption and honour and midnight suns and all that BS that Brandon seems to love writing about, and if the music is anything like that cowboy christmas crap song, it's going to sound like a Flowers Solo Album Part 2. They need to step it up if they want to stay in the game, because people are already starting to forget about them.

    I can make a list for you if you're interested in my personal opinion (which depends on my taste). For example, I really adore Forget About What I Said but a lot of Killers fans think it's bullshit. And I really don't like Bones while many put it on their top 5.

    i have to admit, ever since Day & Age it does seem Brandon has an overwhelming influence over their sound. their last couple of christmas songs could have easily been on Flamingo. although apparently there's more guitars in the new songs than before, so maybe Dave's stepping it up again this time?
