Really, Gerard? I think the Belfast shows must be somewhat of a homecoming, aren't they? Don't they have a strong relationship with the city?

My parents would tell you about some bad experiences with Germans and English from international meetings. But every German is of course not the same.
  2. Snow Patrol aren't even that big in the US to be honest. Chasing Cars got all the radio play and I've heard nothing on modern, terrestrial radio from them otherwise- ever. Satellite radio, I've heard a broader variety of things from Final Straw and Hundred Million Suns or whatever that album was called...but beside some of Eyes Open, they're just sort of familiar here. Not really big or popular. Doubt they'd be able to fill more than a theater for a show.
  3. I knew about the States.... but I definitely was wrong about Germany, I thought they were HUGE there.

And Olof, trust me, virtually everyone in Germany speaks English in one degree or another, and more than half of the people is as good as you and me at it.
  4. They aren't exactly very big in Europe either. Definitely not in Sweden. Their Swedish tour stop is at a pretty small place.
  5. They are quite big in Scotland. They are playing three dates on their upcoming tour. They've played an outdoor show to over 40,000 in Glasgow too.

  6. It was a 45 min setlist...and Gary was funnier than ever. I belive you still can watch it by the link above.

And the song Fallen Empires is really growing on me. I didn't like it first, but now I think it's a fantastic work.
  7. You're right! I'm watching it now.

Yeah, Fallen Empires (the song, but also the album) is definitely a grower.

EDIT. Chocolate is an amazing opener.
  8. I'll try to embed it, let's see if CBS lets me to:

Yes, it is. I think they could open some gigs with it and get a good feedback from audience!

And I'm getting used with the hole album yet, but same happened with A Hundred Million Suns, so I'll just keep listening to it and the songs will make their work. They're not too obvious songs, but that's what I love in SP songs and that's why they're one of my favorite bands.

  10. Fallen Empires is outstanding on multiple listens. Rare album that actually has it's best spot smack dab in the middle rather than in the beginning.
