Oh yeah, that. Me and my friend were lucky to get in. I got in without any problems, but when we were about to get our ticket ripped and told to go in, the woman took about 10 seconds to look at my friend's ticket. It was worrying, but ah well, it was a good night in the end
I think You Me At Six are playing in the US next month along with 3 other great bands.
If I were living at home at the time, I'd buy tickets in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, without my car with me at University, I'm just out of reach of most of those smaller type shows. When I live at home, I get to virtually any show however I want to. Just a little harder at school. I do have quite the lineup prepared for 2012 already, though.
January
Trippin' Billies
February
OFF
March
Van Halen
The Black Keys & Arctic Monkeys
April & May
OFF
June
Foster the People
Roger Waters "The Wall"
REO Speedwagon
That is of course tentative to what gets announced...especially for May, my first month home from school. I'm sure I'll see something that month. Feb and April I'll probably stay dry.
Aw fuck man they're at a fantastically small venue on the north side of Chicago called the Beat Kitchen for only TEN DOLLARS, but its on a Wednesday night. No way I can swing getting there by any means.
Not bad. I'd love to see Van Halen. Seen Arctic Monkeys, might see The Black Keys - they are playing in Edinburgh in March. So far, it looks like this for me:
June 6 - Coldplay
June 20 - Pearl Jam (might end up going on the second night too)
August 24-26 - Reading & Leeds Festival
At the time, I couldn't afford the second night. I'm gonna have to search for a second night ticket somewhere. Damn I'm so looking forward to seeing them.
Who's headlining Lollapalooza? Or is there any rumours of who is headlining it?
Killers new album should be absolutely prime. Love new stuff from them. Foo Fighters are legendary, Green Day are meh anymore but I'd still see them, Stone Roses on that big comeback would be epic to see at a fest, and Radiohead....they're gonna have to prove themselves as a live band that can support themselves after that shitty King of Dicks album.
Don't know anything about TDCC but they might be opening for Foster the People when I see them? Thought I read that somewhere.
