1. As some of you guys know, I've dabbled in making covers for U2 bootlegs and other artists' bootlegs as well...but I've also taken to making some of my own gig posters for shows I've been to. Most of the concerts I attend aren't the type of bands that warrant a gig poster- I'm usually at pretty big tours and huge venues where the artsy-fartsy gets left by the wayside.

So I figured I'd open up a topic where anyone else who wants to play around with Photoshop or the likes can share their work. Doesn't have to be music related- post whatever you've created! Requests can be made, too- there are few ways to enjoy an afternoon more than creating a poster for someone. Here's some of what I've done in the last year or so.

  2. I use Photoshop but mainly for editing photgraphs etc. Always wanted to try my hand at some graphic work like you posted above though, just never found a subject that inspired me enough.

Good sample you posted by the way, I like the Smashing Pumpkins one and the Kings of Leon playing card
  3. The Bon Jovi poster is SUPERB I also like the KOL playing card a lot, well played there (pun hyper intended ).

My humble Photoshop work goes more in the line of your Jane's Addiction poster, I'm not good at pure design so I just pick up a photo from the proper show and edit it adding text, effects bla bla. But I'd like to have the time to improve my skills until being able to design great posters like these
  4. I couldn't resist using that photo from the Jane's Addiction concert, since I took it! Just played with color a little bit to make him glow and added their logo....didn't need anything artsy

Seriously though, if anyone has a show that they've attended and they want a cool poster, I'm more than willing to try something artistic with it. Sometimes it's difficult to do with my own shows- I try to give them too personal of a connection and they actually lose some of the mystique and artistry behind a very creative poster.

And please, others post your own work! Theres nothing like inspiration

  5. My latest
  6. Hands down to all of them!
  7. Thanks guys

I've said it before, but if anybody wants a gig poster designed for a show they went to, I'd be more than happy to draw one up for you.
