1. I had the pleasure of performing live across the south of England live on BBC Radio on Sunday on a show that draws in 12,000 listeners. Anyone wanting to listen to the BBC Introducing Session can here....

I know it's not U2 but it's not everyday you get to play live on the BBC (LOL).
    Enjoy.
  2. That's an amazing experience to put to your name!

I'll give it a listen when I'm home from classes later
  3. Damn, songwriting is tough... I'm trying to put something together.

  4. Matt, I liked it. I wish I could give you a more comprehensive feedback of why but i can't really explain it. I just liked it.
  5. I think it's pretty good. I'm getting a bit sick of that tremolo sound though. I'd personally use it as more of an effect during parts of the song. It is nice as well though. I also feel that the song could use some more low-end punch, but I also think it'd be healthy to have a part with some "sparkle" in the higher frequencies of sound.

All just in my opinion though.

    Good job!
  6. Great feedback Olof, when I'm playing with an actual bass player and rhythm guitarist instead of doing everything myself, I'll make sure they drive in the punch with the lower end

And Brian, no need to explain yourself if you like it, that's good enough for me Thanks guys!
  7. I liked it very much as well, Matt. Straightforward rock in F#, it can never disappoint.
  8. Thanks Sergio

Olof I know you said you were tired of the tremolo effect, but that's actually just me finger picking those...I think I might change up the rhythm in which I pick the notes so that it isn't so straightforward trem-sounding.

Ah, ok. I was wondering if that was tremolo or something else... At least it got a bit annoying for me, I don't think it should be used that much, but maybe during parts to get a kind of effect from it.
  10. That's why I tried to have the rhythm guitar actually be the louder part, so that the lead was more of a background effect to give the song some texture. Did that not come through well for you? Perhaps a re-mix is in order.

I may very well change the structure too. Came up with some lyrics last night as I was trying to fall asleep

    Got a freight train runnin'
Down the middle of my back
    Been a long time comin'
    And going, since
That train's been on the right track
    -
    [Prechorus]
    If I could separate,
    Rearrange
And glue it all back together
    I'd walk away
    -
    [Back to verse]
    I keep waking up broken
Bruised where I used to be young
    I keep speaking words spoken
    A million times
    Singing songs, already sung
    -
    [Prechorus again]
    [Chorus]
    NO LYRICS YET!

and that's about it so far.
  11. If that was what you were going for, a remix is in order. I still think that it would be better to only have that tremolo-like playing during parts though But Of course, you're the boss of your own song
