Drew's Notes:
First off, thanks to all the Tapers, especially ificould for letting me use his IEM. Be warned that the IEM does have a lot of diginoise and static, especially on "Stuck in a moment." I tried to reduce as much static and the diginoise, but it is impossible to remove without destroying the recording. I know it is possible to drastically reduce the static and the Metronome, but i don't like the distant sound that is brought on by reducing the levels of 3-10 hz. Some people wonder why I use so many sources when 1 or 2 AUD sources would be sufficient, in this case, every source brought a different dimension to the mix. Kevtic's recording by itself isn't all that fantastic, but when added to these others, it really shines and booms! During Walk On, the PA drops out and the audience hears nothing, but with the IEM, you can hear the whole song, and it is obvious when the PA comes back on. The whole PA drop out lasts just over a minute. I did EQ a few other things to all the sources for the nice full sounding matrix.

Again, thanks to U2, and the tapers, without either, this matrix wouldn't exist.

I really enjoyed seeing videos of the Walk On-PA-cutdown, so it will be interesting to listen to it in the IEM mix. Moreover, a Drew mix is always a great-quality guarantee.

I felt the crowd were out of order during the cut out on walk on, us near the front rail just carried on singing, just our way of carrying the band through, was surreal but made for a great moment if a fine concert. funny thing is something nearly always goes wrong in a Scotland gig.

Sergio next time they play Scotland get yourself over, a warm hospitality will await you and anyone else who wants to come

The audience didn't notice the sound cut-out during Walk On, did they?? I think they kept hearing themselves through their in ear monitors (hence the complete IEM recordings) and just the general sound got cut. Neverhtheless, I noticed that too on the videos I watched, the crowd near of the stage kept on rocking and singing, but the people at the back of the stadium and on the seats whistled and booed... Not nice.

^^ Yes after a while quite some people in the audience started to booooo and especially Bono didn't know what was going wr(on)g so he tried to sing even more powerfully. Great and also funny moment for me.
