What's awkward?
Opening a new thread (in the 'General U2 talk' subforum!) for asking something that's obviously best solved in a travel-dedicated website is awkward, but hilarious at the sime time. Me enjoys this.

Valid query, just obviously in the wrong forum. With many of the members here living on mainland Europe, there must be someone who can assist. I've been looking at rail travel in Europe myself, it does seem a little more flexible than UK with unlimited passes available etc. I do a lot of rail travel within the UK, so quite knowledgeable when it comes to getting the best deal etc so I'll have a quick look later, see if I can offer something more specific.
all other countries within Europe --> plane
train travel just takes too long.
