  7. Just had this thought. You guys think that for a Pop reissue/remaster they're going to think about "finishing" the album like they've always talked about when discussing that album? I for one would be super interested to see that happen. I know many around here love that album, and think it's great as it is, but I'd like to see what the band would have came up with had they gotten a few more weeks like they've always said. Might be interesting. Plus if they end up finishing them the way they want to, we might even see them live!

  9. Definitely a thought- I like the idea very much (especially the potential of hearing Pop songs live)

    The worry I'd have is like what we saw Bono in particular do to the Achtung songs in "From the Sky Down"...his state-of-mind music wise isn't the same as what it was when those songs were recorded, and I'd hate for Pop songs to get bastardized and then played live that way.

    But I'll take anything from them if they're willing to actually revisit that album instead of just give us a single-disc remaster.

    Good point! That's the big worry. They come out sounding like HTDAAB b-sides.
  12. I think the big problem with the "unfinished" Pop was the production. The takes were all there, the songs just weren't put together the way they should have been. This is especially evident on the New Mix of "Gone" that was available on TBO 90-00. Much cleaner cut track, sounds like a finished product- makes the original album cut sound like a demo.
