1. I listened to the Melbourne '98 gig this week. It's outstanding.
  2. That is a very good sounding show.Also try,Seattle 07.22.98.Its a soundboard..great gig...
  3. I haven't taken the time to listen to any Austrailan/New Zealand shows from '03, '06, or '09. How do they stack up against the NA/Europe shows?

Originally posted by EDDMB For the last 10 days or so,I have been listening to the 1st leg,of the 2003 North American Tour. There are some really great shows from this leg.Its hard to know what shows to listen to,since there are so many released gigs to choose from.I have listened to basically every show the band have released since 2000.This took some time, but I have been a slightly over the top fan since the bands inception,so it really wasnt too hard to do.

It makes sense for me to evenutally get into the 2003 shows. As great as the 2000 tour is I tend to rank Riot Act a bit higher that Binaural and would like to have more listens to those songs (and it's big three b-sides). The somewhat hidden gem, "Can't Keep" doesn't appear too much afterwards - aside from EV solo tour, of course.

So Brendan O'Brien worked with the band in both the studio and on the stage - interesting. So what were the circumstances that led them to take on Boom?

The 2006 shows, and 2009 shows from Australia, are really great. For some reason,I never got into the 2003 Australian or Japan gigs.

2 shows from that leg,in 2009, that IMO, are fantastic are Melbourne 11.20.09.Oceans is played 8th,and Indifference is played early during the 1st encore. Also of note, the Big 4 (Even Flow,Jeremy,Alive and Black) are played.Incredible gig.

    Christchurch,New Zealand is also unreal.30 tunes.GTF opens,Animal,In My Tree,GARDEN...really a standout show.

Hawaii, from 12.02.06 is a great gig,and is a persoanl favorite of mine from the entire tour.As is the Newcastle Australia show from 11.19.06.
  7. PJ Radio is playing the Rio gig from 11.06.11 right now.Why Go sounds amazing..as usual the fans in Rio are going ballistic...great crowd

  8. Even you would be kept busy by the 60 or so North American gigs from 2003!

The "ole" from the crowd always makes me chuckle. I suppose their recent single should made it's debut there.
