1. Those Horsens gigs fucking ruled to follow live. I remember the streams, the video uplinks, the boots that followed...and the glorious setlist parties, back when we had the luxuries if multi-night stops.

    I seriously love setlist parties.
  2. So.. Looks like we'll have to wait till next week for our little surprise.. I can see this whole process is going to drag out...

See, I want to watch the huge production that U2 and Willie Williams have put into action. The claw, the lights, everything - that what makes the show special. I think the intimate songs should be close up and personal as shown in the Stay video posted earlier, but the big songs should be a mad on screen blur. Ears work well regardless of what's on screen, the editing makes it just that much more enjoyable.

Well, I guess we have the best of both worlds with what they have released. I'll treasure Red Rocks and Paris 87, and you can get a kick out of the Rose Bowl show. I like all the concerts, but watching some of them is difficult. If they have to have all the stupid angles and constant scene changes, at least they could have it be a great show. Like jasvan said, record multiple shows, and pick the best one. Bono's voice was shot for most of the Rose Bowl show. You'd have to think that the music would be more important than the visuals, but not this time.

At least with U2, there are multiple releases, so the ones I don't like as much can sit on my shelf. Prince is my favorite, but only two heavily edited live dvds exist. No Purple Rain tour, No 1999 Tour, only a bunch of great bootlegs....at least U2 releases nearly every single tour. Prince fans could count Sign O The Times, but it was re-shot in the studio, so it is sort of live, but with heavy overdubs.

  5. Not sure what is worse...me bringing up how much I hate the Crazy Remix, or you bringing it up after I've dropped it? I've complained as much about Hamish Hamilton's hack job DVDs if you read more of my posts, you'd figure that out.

I never once said I prefer Rose Bowl over Red Rocks or Paris. They are both great films, recorded in the right way. Sydney drew a lot from the staging on the DVD which is fine, Boston and Slane didn't as much. All I was saying, is that for a huge production like 360 it'd be hard not to sync the editing with the energy.

I would have to go look at stadium capacity but Raliegh is a tiny stadium for US standards
The Claw almost didn't fit. But I had seen them in Chicago with
80000 weeks earlier so this was big difference.
I assumed all those fields in Europe are larger for soccer.
I think Raleigh held 50,000. But if you look at any pics from above you will see what I'm talking about.
    Nashville was same.
  8. Yes, and that is from Mexico, which I believe matches up with the @u2 list.
  9. So you get a song that's already on the U22 compilation?

    That seems a bit silly.
  10. I agree. I'm not sure of the rationale behind that. But hey, they're letting us download it, and I'm not going to pass that up.
  11. Do you have to be a paying member just to get the one track too?
