  1. Post here about your excitement/anger/what-have-you in regards to festivals hitting the world in 2012! For the US, heavy hitters like Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and Sasquatch are in full speculation season as Coachella kicked things off with their lineup release. Others are expected to follow suit soon!

    Overseas, fests like Download, Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, and Pinkpop are booking extraordinary headliners as well.

    Who is playing the fests closest to you? Do you have tickets/multi-day passes? Perhaps we can organize meetups through this thread too!

  3. there is no Glastonbury this year, due to a lack of portaloo's because of the olympics!

    i don't think i'll be hitting up any festivals this year, but i've heard The Killers are rumoured for Reading and Leeds.

    I just read about the Glasto thing...I can't even believe that! That's insane. Too bad, always been my favoirte Euro fest.
  6. I think I'm going to Leeds Festival this year. Apaprently Foo Fighters and Green Day are rumoured for it, and The Killers as Dan just said. That would be an insane festival if it happens.

    Kieran that lineup is insane. Hopefully the subs are good too so you don't wait around all day for such a good show.
  9. Two Door Cinema Club are one of the bands who are rumoured who aren't headlining. Kinda want to see them, so that would be good.

    Red Hot Chili Peppers and Metallica rumoured for Lollapalooza? Jeez, I'd love to see both those bands. I thought the 2011 line-up was awesome. Lucky for you, you were there
  10. RHCP has a Chicago show on the books for May, so they're looking unlikely- though Lolla generally lets the top 3 bands ignore the radius clause (which says they can't play a show within a certain time & location from the fest), and RHCP would definitely be top 3.

    Seen them before though, so I'm indifferent to whether or not they're on the bill.

    Metallica, on the other hand, would be really cool. No evidence to support, just speculation/history
  11. Metallica are playing at Download Festival, along with Black Sabbath and The Prodigy. Soundgarden and several other bands are playing too. It's a killer line-up and I'd love to go, but Reading & Leeds is way more tempting.

    They could still be in, I'm uninformed.
