Velvet Dress was relegated to history when Jools Holland recorded that version with Bono. I do like the album version but I have to admit, the 'cover' is much better (though not fitting for Pop). I must also confess that I'm a massive (secret) Miami fan. Pop, it must be said, in the grand sceme of things, is an underrated album on the whole.

I'd love to see IGWSHA in full style live again
  3. Count me in on loving One Step Closer. I think it's great. I don't understand why so many dislike it.

Not many Miami fans around. I love the drum sound - the whole song is great.
  5. I forgot to include The Wanderer - great tune.

Miami is way better live - really like the Leeds version.
  6. I like Miami too. I like to sing along. And I like very much the verses "Well, some places are like your auntie... But there's no place like... *voice losing**"

    Is it the repetitve chorus?

    (Remember, I'm a fan)

Velvet Dress is indeed way better on the Jools Holland recording - and the Mexico DVD - compared to the Pop version.

    Another underrated tune.
  9. Velvet Dress is my most listened U2 song of last year.

  10. So do I. The Leeds version was what got me into 'Miami'.

+1 (Also interesting Miami in Miami show)

It would be better if they had just left it off the album completely. I think they realised it was a terrible song because they never played it live at all.

PS. Not totally their worst, it is great if you want to fall completely asleep...

    And it continues...
