Alex Turner, Arctic Monkeys' frontman, or the Gallagher brothers) and with some fast North American ones. Does it happen to you too?

    Absolutely.
  2. Oh yeah, I do. I struggle to understand the lead singer of The View because of his strong Dundee accent.
  3. Liverpool, Newcaslte-Upon-Tyne, Birmingham - all strong accents that are difficult ot understand. Oh, Scottish, Welsh and Irish too
  4. Just finished watching the Ana II multicam. Wow!!!!!!!!!! It's amazing. May be the best U2 video I've watched.

    Shoestring?
  6. On accents: I've only heard Swedish accents I don't understand on television in programs about accents.

I do have problems with certain English accents as well. Scottish accents are probably the worst (if we don't count India and those places).

Tim: Yeah. Everyone should download it immediately.
  7. There are some incredible shots in that multicam. Truly incredible. Well worth the wait.

And let's not start on Asian accents...
  8. Edinburgh accents are very clear, Glaswegian you may struggle with, but the further north you go, the worse it gets.

    P.S. I wasn't being biased.
  9. Central-UK seems the ones I srtruggle the most with. Manchester, Birmingham, Sheffield, etc... all are horribly tough for me. I still have to try thick Scottish accents, though, maybe they're even harder. I have an obvious soft spot for the Irish accent so I understand it pretty well
  10. I'm not from Manchester but living here I haven't noticed a particularly strong accent. Maybe it's less noticable to a native speaker.
