1. yeah Berlin and London are the outstanding shows of Europe 2010
Dublin is quite close, probably because Ed talked about Joe Strummers and that's enough for me hehe
Venice is pretty good too but not at that level im my opinion

[edit] Berlin 2010? I got this from the "What song are you listening to" thread.

    Fixed

  3. Like Ronnie said...Berlin is a classic show.Long Road,Public Image.EV breaks down during Black,it was the 10 yr anniversary.Dublin is a solid gig.A fan actually fell from the balcony during the show.London was great as well.

  4. Crazy Irish! Hope he (she?) was alright!
  5. Yes he was.I think he broke a leg or 2...EV mentioned it the next night,in Belfast.

On to 2003 though.....I just finished a nice jog in Lower Manhattan.I was listening to the Philly gig again (04.28.03).SPIN the Black Circle is just insane.Black is fantastic. It sounds as if the band are playin in slow motion. And it builds and builds, in such a dramatic way.Mike shows, once again, how great he is.

Animal is played as the first encore opener.Alive is just brilliant.A top 5 gig for 2003 Matt.
  6. I will get to the Toronto and Montreal shows soon.IMO,you should go with a couple of April gigs first, try the ones that I listed.
  7. I will. I sort of plowed through 2000 and agree that I should "relax" with 2003. Is tough, however, with so many to choose from - unlike the more recent legs that are only 10 or so gigs long.
  8. True. Its like being a child in a candy shop.Where do I start ??? What show ?? What year ??? I had to go in order, since I was listening to them, when all the these bootlegs started in 2000.

But since you stopped, and now are back into PJ bigtime,I would suggest you go slow.Digest each leg in order. There are some very good gigs from Australia/Japan 2003.I just never got into those shows.

That is why I mentioned the Philly show again.I thought you might have rushed through the gigs I listed already...LOL.Those shows need numerous listenings Matt.

The way I re-listen to shows,I ripped the whole gig to my iPod.When possible (jogging, taking the subway, etc) I play it.
  9. I downloaded a whole bunch of June 2003 shows yesterday. I already had (and have listened to) the Mansfield, Camden, and MSG gigs from that July - but haven't listened to them since last summer. I'll go and get some of those April shows and listen to them first (promise) - after I finish going through those 2010 NA gigs...listening to DC (Bristow) again. Did these in reverse order (started at the MSG shows) and am now going back up the ladder.

...and then there's Europe 2010 which I haven't even touched aside from the London show.

  10. I was just sitting on a street corner and this ukulele came up and had a strong opening line and we’ve been together ever since. It’s never cheated on me. I don’t always have to pick up the tab. The ukulele is a good listener, but chimes in when it’s helpful. It’s really one of the best relationships I’ve ever had.

Friend of mine bought one after Ukelele Songs came out- goofed around with it for a month or so, but now it just sits there. Takes it out occasionally.
