1. Never thought i'd see Noel playing in support. Must have swallowed his pride hard for that one
  2. I prefer Oasis to RHCP but I can understand why Noel on his own would open for them. I suppose it is a larger debate since this is occuring in Ireland (as oppsed to, say, the state of California).
  3. I don't think there's any REAL debate. Sure, there's the odd hard die Oasis fan that says that everyone in the world should be supporting Noel, but I think that it's obvious that a just-formed band like the Flying Birds (despite having Noel and his Oasis catalogue backing up them), can't be headlining any major concert where U2, RHCP, Pearl Jam, Muse or Coldplay (just saying 5 of the biggest bands out there) are playing too. I mean, you can like or dislike the RCHP but you can't deny they have a +20 years successful career, while Noel has just started over.
  4. wish he was opening for them at knebworth as well, that'd be a day out to remember.
  5. Brrrrrrrrrilliant new videoclip:

  6. Couldn't help but wonder if he was going to hit her back.

Probably wouldn't sit well with viewers.
  7. very nice indeed
  8. That dude is fucking huge
  9. If he's opening for the RHCP, I suppose that's OK.

Velvet Underground opened some U2 shows in 1993. And Oasis opened some U2 shows in 1997 (I think). Elbow opened for U2, and they were f****** awesome.

Looking forward to the Flying Birds in London, O2, later this month. 'Rock n Roll for couples', says Liam. We'll see!
  10. Its not a big deal.Pearl Jam opened for U2 in 2006,the last show of the Vertigo tour.RHCP are a veteran band.
  11. ^ ...and what a show that would have been....Alive...Streets...tropical paradise.
