Pitt 03 is a great gig Matt...Even Flow is wild.Immortality,Alive,Footsteps....

Started listening to it on my walk to work this morning.

    Great start to this show....
    - the awesome "Small Town" to start (although I prefer it a bit later in the set since it, i) gives the crowd a bit more time to "warm up" for the sing-along and, ii) doesn't guarantee songs like Sometimes, Release, or Long Road won't get played
    - they kick into four great (best?) rockers from four other albums (Hail Hail, Save You, Corduroy, and Insignificance)
    - slowed things down with "Cropduster" next. I'm still warning up to that song.

Arrived at work at this point so will have to wait until later to continue. I have noticed that they only played THREE songs from Riot Act at this show.
  2. more on Pitt '03

    - Daughter is (as usual) solid but no "It's Okay" tag. They seem to do it one tour and not another. (i.e., Played the tag frequently in 2000, 2006, 2011 but not 2003 (yet?) and 2010).
    - Even Flow has an excellent rendition here - nice to see as I was getting a bit bored of it (gasp!)
    - Faithfull (no complaints - one of my all-time favourites)
    - a great Whipping - pumps some energy into the set
    - Immortality...just beautiful, I love this song. I think Ronnie was right, however, when he said it should only be played from time to time - makes it's appearance that much more special.

Got home at this point and haven't had a chance to listen to anymore - yet!
  3. Pitt is great,..... wait til you hear Philly (great)..then Albany (solid) then Nassau (great).....
  4. Finished the Pitt show last night. I liked how he admitted he prefers to close a set with "Blood" as it's hard on his voice (and then he made a Pittsburgh joke about his vocal chords being made of steel). Then he went on to admit that "Down" should have made it onto Riot Act - heck, I think they play it ore often than any song on that album aside from the three singles.

The rest of the show is great - had forgotten how well he performs "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away." Nice to get a rear playing of "Footsteps."

I think I'll listen to this show again before moving on to Philly.
  5. This is maybe a a day or two old (you guys can be hard to keep up with) but Eddie added a Memphis date to his tour, at the legendary Orpheum Theater.
  6. "the next Pearl Jam album is still in the formative stage", adding the band is "not sure what it's going to be yet".

  7. Well, no one want them to rush it and release an uninspired record. This is a big one - #10.
  8. they could be called it One then hehe

    Well played....

Let's hope it's not a countdown, however, and this is it.
