1. Dave Matthews Band has announced a summer tour, I will be purchasing tickets to see them at the legendary Alpine Valley
  2. You deserve it, I know you're a greaaat fan of them And it'll be a hell of a show. They allow tapers if I'm not wrong so you'll surely have a great audio-memento of it
  3. Weeping into my wallet however.
  4. Andrew WK becoming a possibility again...

    I swear I need a therapist.
  5. I feel like DMB goes on a summer tour every year. Could you even imagine if U2 was on a tour every summer? In a way it would be awesome cause we'd always be seeing them but in a way I think it's more special that they come around so rarely. I think given the choice of the 2 i prefer the U2 model. The waiting makes the heart grow fonder, but it's also the hardest part...

I praise people who go to loads of gigs. It's something I'd love to do but: a) Scotland doesn't get masses amount of artists at one time; and b) I don't have the funds to afford it all. Therefore I'm jealous of you, Matt.

My answer is go for it. You only live once.
  7. Officially on the books. Brings the schedule to:

    March 13th: Van Halen/Kool & the Gang
March 16th: The Black Keys/Arctic Monkeys
    March 25th: Andrew W.K.
April 13th: Death Cab for Cutie
    April 17th: The Fray
    April 22nd: Snow Patrol
June 8th: Roger Waters' "The Wall"
    June 20th: Foster the People
    June 29th: REO Speedwagon
    July 6th: Dave Matthews Band
    [Probably Lollapalooza]

I've also been assured by my mother that she'll be taking me to Aerosmith when they come around this summer

Immensely agree with this, from a to z.

  9. Nice.....they are fantastic live.Im a nut for DMB (screen name)..I requested tickets from the Warehouse for both Jones Beach shows..and Hersey Park..thats a good one for me,take the 4 kids to the park all day, then go with my oldest daughter to see DMB...

Alpine should be amazing. My goal is to see DMB at the Gorge..I keep putting it off...Soon..maybe in 2013...

I have seen DMB live many times since 1996.The 3 shows I went to at Randalls Island this past Sept, were just amazing. Not one repeat over the 3 gigs, plus Dave & Tim did a solo acoustic set.The total number of songs I heard over that weekend,68 I believe.

DMB actually do tour every year.2011 they only did a Caravan tour. They played in Atlantic City,NJ and Randalls Island NY..so I was able to go to 4 out of the 6 gigs in the area...

I understand what you are saying,as far as U2.But,I waited 5 years between U2 tours in the past. From 1987 to 1992.Then again from 1992 -1997.IMO,thats way too long between tours.I actually lost interest in U2 during the mid 90s.I got into Oasis and Radiohead big time. Then PoP was released and I was like uggg...
