1. Whats your? Mines a tie between Try and Love Again by The Eagles and Breakdown by Tom Petty.
  2. Tied -> Metallica - Metal Militia and Guns N' Roses - Breakdown
  3. We oughta post reasons,

Try and Love Again: Probally the most overlooked Eagles song ever. Randy Meisner just tears it up. Great soft guitar based song.

Breakdown: I can relate to this song on a personal level. There are a number of girls who I'm pretty sure like me but since I have a reputation as an asshole they aren't willing to take a chance. Thats really the entire point of the song. Also my mom says I used to like it when I was young and listened to it in the car.
  4. The Drugs Don't Work - The Verve.

    Just listen to it
  5. walk unafraid-REM
  6. i listen - SONNET - THE VERVE - URBAN HYMNS -
  7. What You Need- INXS Just listen to it. Amazing vocals, and a perfect blend of Guitars and Saxophone.

    Check it out.

  8. Fingers of Love by Crowded House

specifically from the Farewell to the World concert at Sydney Opera House

As Neil Finn puts it, "a song that you can really drift back to". Similar sound (& lyrical) qualities of 'depicting a time and place' as U2 put it, very emotional.

Turn it up really loud and you get guitar melodies & solos that produce similar haunting sounds to U2 gutiar parts in Streets, When I look at the world & Miracle Drug.
  9. There are so many...probably Californication by RHCP or Wet Sand, also by RHCP.
  10. The First Picture Of You - The Lotus Eaters
