1. True.....my bad...Soundgarden were a force in the 90's,and are still solid...............but Matt is more in PJ than Soundgarden right ? ...lol.
  2. Well, sort of... My first experience with Matt Cameron was with Soungarden - and he wasn't PJ's original drummer (not even around for the "big three" era) so I can undertand if someone says, "Matt Cameron is the drummer of Soundgarden" as oppose to Pearl Jam. However, I would gather his alligiance now is probably more with PJ (although he might not see it either way and just consider himself a drummer playing with difference friends at different times). Fortunately, rocks bands aren't like sports teams. you can play with/for more than one at any given time.

    Unless you're David Beckham.
  3. and also my next experience with Matt is going to be with Soundgarden .. so he's their drummer for me nowadays hehe
  4. I'm off this week (March Break) so I "get to" paint my den. On the plus side, I listened to all three of Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Dallas 2003 shows. Eddie's drunk in the first one (screwed up Last Kiss), hung over in the second (screwed up Given To Fly), and feeling much better in the third (no noticable screw ups). One great thing about them playing so many shows at once is that they'd mix it up quite a bit - they opened the Dallas show with Alive - not a bad start to a show, if you ask me.
  5. My Toronto Night 1 (2011) CD arrived in the mail today. Very cool to have one of these!

I'm not too sure if I'll ever open it (already have the digital download) but it sure is a nice keepsake from an awesome show.
  6. Get another one then... the CD will have better audio. You probably won't hear the difference though.

I can't wait to get a bootleg of the awesome PJ show I'm attending. i love that I'll be able to get a fantastic recording.
  7. One is enough...I will only get physical copies of shows I attend (not ones I wish I had attended - or should have attended).

Listening to the Council Bluffs show now - then off to bed. I think I skipped the Bonner Springs show...will listen to it tomorrow...and then Fargo.

(The only two June 2003 shows that I am skipping are Little Rock and St. Paul. Are they worth a listen, Ed, or should I just move on?)

  8. So you are going then?
  9. yes .. my deep "disappointment" (just for using a kind word not completely representing the feeling vs mr Severson III) lighten up the definitive decision for my personal line-up
Mark Lanegan in less than a couple of weeks
then Soundgarden - Bruce Springsteen - Chris Cornell this summer
it's still more no for Radiohead

    satisfying indeed anyway

They are good gigs.....not great IMO..St Paul is the better of the 2...Ed calls a fan up,and has him sing Lukin...that's worth listening to the show, just for that....

Just take it slow Matt....its hard to listen to all these gigs....it can be a bit much,I don't want you to OD on PJ..lol....I'm listening to alot of live DMB..they have close to 60 gigs released....live trax 15 is amazing..Alpine 08.09.08.........

I'm seenin Vedder in May at Ft Lauderdale....been listening to his solo live DVD a lot....must have show..love it....
  11. That DVD is on the list for my birthday... hope I'll get it. I've seen some of it on Youtube and it seems to be really nice...

I'm thinking about whether or not to listen to No Code today, or put it off a little while longer.
  12. No Code has great songs....I just hate the way they were recorded...nontheless,its a solid release..Habit , Red Mosquito, In My Tree sound good...Sometimes EV just mumbles through it......they just sound alot better live IMO....
