With the whole bullshit fiasco with Megauploads, I would imagine most of the links are broken but you could check. Just look out for anything labeled Ev2 & CC (Crystal Cat).

I hope the Gothenburg shows this year will be as great as they usually are. Saw a Swedish newspaper's review of the Gothenburg shows through the years... every single one had 5/5 stars. I think they like it here.
  2. i don't think anyone can get along with them, if you don't believe that the world ended after the darkness tour or you can't face eighteen different versions/remasters of the same bootleg then it's not going to work. The request thread is the only one i read now.

Ps the los angeles 81 night for the vietnam vets is essential to any bruce collection, a serious contender for the best gig of all time by anyone and nassau coliseum 31/12/80 should be in there as well at well over four hours long.
  3. I especially couldn't stand users like quantumrr, We Is The Irish & Two Lanes. Miserable, cliquish bunch they were..

Yeah, the request thread is what kept me there for all those years.

how strange you should mention quantumrr - i've had several run ins with him, mainly about bootlegs, he was always slagging off godfather releases and then in the request thread etc it would say anyone got the godfather version of - particularly when godfather came up with a great recording of vienna 2009 which i had more or less off the presses - and it took them ages to get that was so funny. He's another of the everything ends with darkness or at least the river. I also find it strange that so many of the members there claim to have seen the darkness tour which means they all have to be roughly at least 50 years old and how you can't be a real fan if you didn't see it - the fact that bruce only played three european shows up to may 1981 seems to pass them by so therefore there can only be around 10,000 real bruce fans in the whole of europe.
  5. Haha. Oh yeah, the frequent "everything ends after Darkness/River/BITUSA tour" arguments. Yet those dingleberries still pay to see tours supporting his new material. It's like they prefer Bruce to simply retire or fade into obscurity. And since I was born in '86, I guess I'm not a real fan, huh? Haha. My favorite on BTX is when they make endless topics about "pee break" songs...

I'm most definitely a hardcore fan of Bruce, but I feel like I'm one of the few who's thankful that he's still consistently active & brilliant for nearly 40 years. That's a bit rare.
  6. Tampa just got "Talk To Me" from "The Promise."
  7. the last time i spent any time over there was in the pre-darkness box set days when there were numerous what do you want and numerous this is whats on it threads. Then the subsequent this is crap after the event (they should try being bowie/police fans atleast bruce gives you a bundle of stuff that hasn't been out before). I'm substantially older thanyou so i have been a fan since october 1980 though to them that's only 12 months prior to the end of the e street band ie when steve left. In passing the other day after the austin gig i saw something that said 'there's no way this band could play because the night' two days later in greensboro guess what... personally i wouldn't even have darkness in my top 5 bruce albums (nebraska, tunnel, wild innocent, btr, river) and i've enjoyed the post 1999 shows where all bets are off as far as set lists go the most and i could happily listen to every devils and dust show so you can see why i don't fit into their view of a bruce fan. And if i see another waitin on a sunny day thread ...
  8. tampa is a fantastic gig - worth the download for talk to me and does this bus stop alone. Sound is great - i've got around 400 bruce gigs and this would be top 50 easy.
  9. The quality is quite good. But I'm sure it's capable of sounding better if Ev2 got his hands on it :-)
