1. Apoel can only hold their heads high. Look how far they've got compared to other teams...
  2. Benfica down to 10 men now.
  3. Serves Pereira right really. Booked for arguing with the referee...

Seven yellow cards and we're not even at half time. Those who aren't watching, the game isn't at all dirty.
  4. Referee's wife is cheating on him by the looks of things. Something is pissing him off.

  5. He probably is the best coach alive, but I really dislike him as person and like Gerard says the way he makes his team play against like Barcelona is just awful.

Benifca really impressed me tonight, they deserved to go through but didnt score enough. If Chelsea keep playing like this, I think Barcelona will beat them simple.
  6. Have to agree with what Mourinho said tonight. I know he's stirring trouble but Chelsea have to face more than just Barcelona. They have to face the unbelievable bias towards the Spanish side. Not just from match officials being conned by the antics of certain players and the favourable attention Messi receives as a target but also the complete one sided mentality of the footballing nation.

Barcelona aren't just favourites, the name is already on the trophy. It has been since the group stage began. I hope Chelsea stuff them good, but I'd also love Madrid to stuff them in the final.
  7. If Madrid makes it to the final, they will beat Barça methinks. Mourinho is a complete idiot and screws up Madrid's strategy and gaming when they play against Barça, but he surely knows how to win a final. If they face each other in the final (I doubt it, I think Bayern will beat Madrid), Madrid will take it home I think.

And I disagree in the bias towards Barça... They are (or 'have been') simply better than the rest, that's all.
  8. lets say they got "little" help they don't need over these years
  9. what about an offer of 9mil for Julio Cesar by the Utd Tim?
  10. today exactly one year ago Schalke won the away game vs Inter Milan 5:2 and made up for the defeat in the home game, marching into the semil final of CL. It went down in the team history as "Miracle of San Siro". Why not another miracle in Bilbao tonight, I say?

  11. My question would be "Why?". David De Gea is actually in fine form now, making some really good saves. He's gone from being a potential £18m flop to one of the best goalkeepers in the league. Sure, he's still got a lot to learn but this is mainly mental experience. He needs to hit the gym and bulk up, but he's already said that he's doing that. He needs to be more commanding in the area and be in control of the defenders in front of him. Instead of just bailing them out with a good save, step up and give them some mouth afterwards.

He has great potential. Julio Cesar wouldn't necessarily be a bad signing, would make De Gea work hard for his place as #1 but he'd also provide much more experienced cover for De Gea than Anders Lindegaard. £9m for another goalkeeper, particularly as back up, is a little steep. That sort of money could be invested in the midfield area or right back.
