1. I just listened to both the remastered versions of the two 1998 shows (Melbourne and Seattle). If you don't already have them, you MUST get them. The 1998 tour is THE BEST Pearl Jam tour. "All killer, no filler" when it comes to the music from their first decade.
  2. another tour during which they forgot the old dear continent
apart from that those 2 are definetely a must have .. for the sound for the performances for the setlists
  3. ^My only "complaint" about the two remastered 1998 shows is that Jeremy (an essential PJ tune) was omitted from both setlists. I really hope they decide to release more material from that tour.

  4. Got home from Disney last night..fantastic time..I stayed away from the computer for the 9 days after the great Bruce gig...sunny 85 EVERY DAY ....My friend Chris called me last week, and left like 10 messages..I knew that was bad.....I went to PJ.com and I was like ....He was flying in from London to Florida (he cancelled, and got hit with charges from BA)..I have airfare...not good....Im on the fence as far as still going with my wife..maybe we will just hit the beach for a long weekend....

No question....1998 was a great touring year for PJ.Yeild was solid, and back to form, but still the PJ sound was dulled IMO..but the tracks come to life live.. DMB also had a great year in 1998... they released their best cd (Before These Crowded Streets) and that tour was amazing..great year for PJ and DMB
  6. Maybe I'll have to try that DMB "best of..."

While "waiting" for your 2003 suggestions, I've been working on a 2008/2009 North American mix with just 1990's songs. Pretty much every 1990's release (b-sides included) were played during those two tours.

Did you make it to the Rangers game last night? I have five of them (Gaborik, Richards, Stepan, Boyle, and Fedotenko) in my hockey pool. We can root for them together - can't say I'm a fan of Ottawa, even if they are only one of two Canadian teams that made it into the playoffs.
  7. Matt,I had a 6pm flight so I couldn't make the Ranger game..but I was home to watch the 3rd period.I will be there tonight.....

I would suggest the 1st 3 releases from DMB...like PJ,those first albums are hands down their best.....though I do like Big Whiskey and Backspacer as far as more recent releases...
  8. We (my wife, that is) have Under The Table and Dreaming and Crash. I'll try those for now.

Do happen to have a version of PJ's "Alone" from the 2009 tour?
  9. Alone was played Oct 7th,2009 in LA...I put it in my 4 nights in LA mix..I think I listed that mix on these pages many weeks ago....

You have to try Before These Crowded Streets Matt...amazing album...
  10. Just received my refund for both shows,Eddie Vedder,Ft Lauderdale...to quote Commodus from the Gladiator film.."Iam vexed...terribly vexed"
  11. Ed did you comfort yourself from Eddie cancellation with the Hole reunion in Brooklyn the other night? hehehe
  12. Hole reunion?

    Good lord.
