1. I am watching it right now... I really like the guitar sound And nice poster (I have the same one). More comments in a few minutes

Is it the SM57 being used for the guitar?
  2. Thanks man! And indeed it is!

  3. Damn, now I need an SM57, badly.

Just finished listening. It's a great cover! I really enjoyed it. Sounded good too. Especially the guitar. Maybe the vocals could have been turned up a little bit louder.

Thanks! Yeah they're great, I use it to mic pretty much everything apart from vocals. As for the mix, I showed it to a buddy beforehand and he said the opposite! To each his own I guess!

    Haha. Well, you're the producer

Did you listen to my above cover of The Ground Beneath Her Feet?
  6. Am now! As I told you with your last cover, your voice has tons of character and it's totally awesome. Guitar tone is nice too!

  7. Hehe, thanks The guitar is just my Sheraton II directly into Logic... with a weak modulation and no amplifier. So it's very simple. Your voice has lots of character too, I think it's better than mine I don't think of myself as a good singer, but has convinced myself that isn't necessary... just look at Bruce Springsteen.
  8. Exactly right! None of us are selling chart toppers so who cares how good we are

  9. A lot of the chart toppers these days are probably a lot worse. Autotune, no thanks.

  10. Pretty much! No one here needs to sound like T-Pain

For something you've just thrown together, it sounds great. Only criticism I have, and it's only very minor, personal preference thing - the cover is a bit too long. I think for an acoustic cover, it'd be worth going down the same route as From The Sky Down and shortening it. The guitar, as good as it sounds, is a little repetitive for a six minute track. Not necessarily your fault though, don't take it to heart or anything.

Vocally and musically I thought it was brilliant.
