1. Beautiful moment. If you want a rough translation of the lyrics (by me, since I understand Norwegian):

    En himmel full av stjerner,
blått hav så langt du ser,
    en jord der blomster gror,
    kan du ønske mer?

    A sky full of stars
Blue sea as far as you can see
An Earth where flowers grow (germinate to be precise)
    Could you wish for more?

    Sammen skal vi leve
    hver søster og hver bror,
    små barn av regnbuen
    og en frodig jord.

    Together we shall live
    Every sister and every brother
    Little children of the rainbow
    And a fertile earth

    Noen tror det ikke nytter,
andre kaster tiden bort med prat,
noen tror visst vi kan leve
    av plast og syntetisk mat,

    Some think it's meaningless
Other throw time away with talk
Some apparently think that we can live
    On plastic and synthethic food

(og) noen stjeler fra de unge
som blir sendt ut for å slåss,
    noen stjeler fra de mange
    som kommer etter oss.

(and) some steal from the young
That are sent out to fight
    Some steal from the many
    Who come after us

    En himmel full av stjerner,
blått hav så langt du ser,
    en jord der blomster gror,
    kan du ønske mer?

    A sky full of stars
Blue sea as far as you can see
    An Earth where flowers grow
    Could you wish for more?

    Sammen skal vi leve
    hver søster og hver bror,
    små barn av regnbuen
    og en frodig jord.

    Translated this one already

Men si det til alle barna,
og si det til hver far og mor:
    dette er vår siste sjanse
til å dele et håp og en jord.

But say it to all the children
And say it to every father and mother
    This is our last chance
To share a hope and an Earth

    En himmel full av stjerner,
blått hav så langt du ser,
    en jord der blomster gror,
    kan du ønske mer?

    Already translated

    Sammen skal vi leve
    hver søster og hver bror,
    små barn av regnbuen
    og en frodig jord.

    Already translated

    En himmel……
  2. Well, the video has closed captions available their translation matches yours almost entirely

In fact, the song featured in the video was an already translated version of an originally English song called My Rainbow Race, by songwriter Pete Seeger. Its original lyrics are here: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/p/pete_seeger/my_rainbow_race.html
  3. Oh, damn, didn't see that on the iPad. Oh well. Yeah, I know it is based on that song, it isn't a precise translation though
  4. Beautiful. Great to see people acting out. This Breivik guy is quite a phenomenon, I don't know if he is totally mental or a true believer in his "cause". But the more this trial continues the weirder the guy becomes...
  5. Interesting fact:

Since 2003, The U.S. spent $980 billion in Iraq, enough to wipe out world poverty for 10 years.
  6. Get an original thought.

    Who made that America's responsibility

However good job to all 5 parties who made the budget for 2013 just before elections. Think Holland is the one of the few countries stuff like this can happen, always searching for a middle way for better and for worse

What's wrong with choosing the middle way? It represents the majority of the citizens, so that's a good thing I reckon. Yes, Pechtold had a bit of air floating around him, but then again I think he's a really skilled politician, and also a gentle person (I get to know him a little because I'm an intern at D66 right now).
  9. ^ I'd like to have a party like D66 here in Spain. Everything is so democratic, with internal referendums and the stuff... Its ideology seems a good mash between the two big wings, and the only thing I dislike is their bet on a strict USA-like two-party system. Yeah, they're a party I'd like to have around here.

  10. Nobody and that's not the point. U.S. itself is in great financial problems, unemployment rate is high and yet they rather put money in killing people all over the world.

Middle way does not represent the majority of citizens. In the end it means that little happens. As I said, its not bad but in some cases it doesnt work.

D66 have some good points, all parties do. Might vote for them, but more for a lack of better alternative. The Socialist Party are the most fair, but naive. The liberals of the VVD have shown to do anything as long they are in power. And the christian CDA is an utter spineless disgrace of a party since Balkenende left.
