1. Matt......I would be careful posting any links from 2006,as the North American gigs are still on sale on iTunes.I believe the European gigs are for sale on iTunes Europe from 06 (Ron ?)...From 08 on is still for sale,so I would not go near those gigs..as far as posting...anything prior to 06 is good....Jeff and Stone are on the record,as far as sharing boots that " aren't for sale stil"......
  2. The only reason I brought it up was because there were a few pposts in the forum asking for some from years other than 2000.

Upon reflection, I don't know if mine are worth it. Not because the sound quality isn't as good or that I have very little cover art to go with the music - although I'm the first to admit that I like a good label. My reservations stem from that I only made a four-CD mix and that I was a bit subjective when it came to choosing some of the songs on it.

Maybe I'll sent it to the guy at that rearviewmirror site.
  3. Speaking of PJ music....

Do you think they release anything this year? Not necessarily a new album (which would be nice but...) but something from the vault?

They have been pretty "generous" over the past two or three years with the older, never-before-released shows. I hope the trend continues.
  4. forgot about itunes .. i'm not into it/ipod things hehe .. i haven't seen itunes advice for european gigs 06 since long time in contrast to north american's .. there are some sites that post them though
no doubt for 2000/2003 for sure

thay guy, Dan, posted also some of 2006

they still "owe" us the Alpine Valley hehe

if the vault trend continues it would be great .. but i haven't heard of rumors about upcoming release of any kind .. at least i haven't
  6. PJ20 Alpine will surely see an official release within the next few years.

They're making plenty of money with a new tour and potential new album within a year, there's no reason for them to keep piling on releases and things to buy. Wait until there isn't as much going on in the PJ world and that release will tide everyone over.
  7. I could see Alpine released as a box set soon..somewhat similar to the Philly shows from Oct 2009.The Philly gigs were held back, then they were released on May 5th,2010 (I just checked my PJ order history)..so we will find out soon,as far as the Alpine gigs...

The vault could open,as the European gigs are fast approaching..maybe another give away ?? I hope so....
  8. I have been listening to the 2005 Canadian Tour....I just love this tour....I attended the Montreal gig from this tour (09.15.05).....today I listened to St Johns N1,09.24.05....

EV is in a great mood..very,very talkative..really like the main set..Cant Keep opens,Go,Even Flow,Animal,Corduroy,Given To Fly and Nothing As It Seems all follow....Lukin>You ...After Present Tense,Ed tells a quick "fish story" about Stone before Dont Gimmie No Lip...alot of laughs here..band sound great..some false starts, but IMO, that just adds to the fun and great feel of this show ...

Encores..1st Encore starts with some nice acoustic tunes... Thumbing My Way,Iam Mine,Small Town..then Black and RVM..

Encore 2.."Its saturday night..St Johns..lets rock this fucking place"..the band proceed to bang out Whipping,Do The Evolution and Spin The Black Circle....great,great must listen story after Last Kiss...Not 1,but 3 false starts before Leaving Here with EV laughing at himself...Alive,Baba and Yellow Led ends this fun, loose, very energetic gig...

    4 Stars

A must listen IMO..this is not the best gig of this Canadian Tour, might have to give that to Ottawa,Toronto or Halifax ....but,its a favorite of mine.
  9. Great promotion of the tour, Ed.

I'll get around to listening to it soon. There's so much - almost too much - for me to handle. I've only recently listened to the few shows played in my homeland from 2000, 2003, 2006, and 2009 - and that's only 10 shows in total. There's 16 (or is it 17) Canadian shows in 2005 alone!

I'll have to focus on Ontario and then branch out from there.
  10. Yes...it was 16 shows Matt...all,IMO,are great..and different...I will mention highlights of each gig in the comming days I think...as Im listening to all the shows....not in order....I just pick one of the 16...when you get time...you HAVE to listen to these shows...just pace yourself...pick a gig..and only listen to that show for a couple of days..then move on to another gig...thats how I do it...
  11. I'll start with Toronto and move from there.

AFTER I finish with Montreal 2000, Las Vegas 1993, and Seattle 1992 - and this Live on THREE Legs compilation.
  12. Last thoughts on St Johns N1 Matt...very solid version of Cant Keep opens...(a song you like alot)....mistakes all over Grievance...Even Flow and GTF don't have their usual intense feeling for some reason.....but NAIS is fantastic....and I like Lukin followed by You for a change up.....from Present Tense on is where this show shines IMO Matt....I love the acoustic start of Encore 1..followed by Black and RVM...

Encore 2."We have played to 180,000 of you on this tour...mind you, that's 2 gigs for the Rolling Stones, but we like to get to know the people we are playing for".. classic..... this encore is fantastic, and I already went on and on about it yesterday..........

A cold rainy day here in NYC,time for some hot tea and on to the Vancouver gig 09.02.05...similar weather, great music.
