Adam Yauch aka MCA has passed away due to throat cancer.

He was 47.

I'm going on a Star Treff tomorrow... with you being German I guess you can figure ou what that means. Star Trek with other trekkies in a cinema. Hope I'll have some fun. Then I'll hopefully play golf.

Really a shame about MCA/Adam Yauch.

I was a pretty big B-Boys fan back in the early/mid-1990's - I saw them 1995 at Maple Leaf Gardens. Paul's Boutique should be in everyone's collection.

I think the thing that gets me them most is that he, being from "my generation" of music, died of somewhat natural causes (cancer) at such a (relatively) young age. Sure, we lost like Kurt Cobain and Layne Staley even earlier due to suicide and overdose, but ...well it's just different.
