1. I can't keep up. On the second go around with Ottawa this afternoon and was planning to do "The Hammer" tomorrow.

I find your comment about 1/2 Full interesting. I think it is a good song - not a great song. Same goes for the majority of Riot Act (aside from Save You, I Am Mine and Can't Keep - which are classics). Riot Act is special in the fact that I don't dislike any songs on the album (for me that isn't true for any other non-big three PJ album) - but I don't love too many of the songs. Maybe it'll take more time. I enjoyed hearing them listening to all of those 2003 shows but I have to admit I don't "miss" them when I listen to shows from other years.
  3. Thats what Im saying Matt..this was the 2005 tour,so I didnt understand why 1/2 Full was played, instead of any classic off the big 3...or No Code..or Yield....

Im going to Europe next month, and I dont want to hear Backspacer again. Its 3 years old,and while I like it,I just dont need to hear Supersonic,or Got Some at this point.

Sneak in Unthought Known..ok..fine...but leave out Binaural,Riot Act and Avocado. If they do play a song of those releases,at my shows,I wouldnt mind hearing 1 of these... Nothing As It Seems,Iam Mine or Inside Job.Thats it.

Mind you Matt,I saw PJ on those tours,so its probably selfish of me to say those things....lol
  4. What's with all the double-song tracks in the Canadian 2005 Tour shows. "Animal/Save You" and "Indifference/Alive" in Toronto? "Release/Corduroy" in Montreal? "Porch/Save You" and "Untitled/MFC" in The Hammer?
  5. Not sure Matt...thats how they were for the original downloads from PJ.com..and the 2005 and 2006 tours were download only..these shows were available a few hours after the gig..I went wild back in 05..lol..I bought all 16...only 10 bucks for the mp3...

The artwork has the songs together as well,..Release/Corduroy etc.

I missed them all and I'd rather hear the earlier stuff. The only song they played from 2000-2006 at "my" show last fall was "Nothing as It Seems" - which is probably the best of them all (although I have admitted before that I have a soft spot for the rockin' "Save You.") Still, I'd rather hear Hail Hail, Last Exit, or Spin the Black Circle than that one.

I am curious what they do with Backspacer this summer. I agree that "Unknown Thought" should be played - maybe not every show but it's a good one. "The Fixer" and "Just Breathe" will probably make a few appearances as well. Anything else probably isn't worth the effort. "The End" is a very well-written song but I've decided that I don't like it (or at least listening to it) - way too fXXkin' sad for me to listen to on a regular basis.

  7. That must have been very cool to be able to do.

I wonder what "keeps them" these days?

Just finished Ottawa for a second time. Which show should I do next: Hamilton or Montreal?
  8. Hamilton...I went to the Montreal show..and it was great...but Hamilton has a bit more of an edge to it..
  9. Halifax is my favorite though.
  10. Since you've recommended Hamilton, I will stick with my original plan: listen to the six Ontario show (I can't believe they played Thunder Bay!), rest, listen to the five Eastern shows, rest, and then move onto the five Western shows. Kind of like Pulp Fiction.

I wouldn't mind listening to the handful of US shows they did before and after the Canadian Tour (Missoula, New Jersey, etc.)

    - and I still have EVERY INTENTION of getting a physical copy of that Gorge set. Unfortunately, the HMV around here closed last year. I may just have to order it from pj.com. $35 seems like a pretty reasonable price.
  11. Actually Matt..I never ordered the Gorge box set, because I had the downloads from 2005 and 2006 already...but its a great looking set...you know where to get the artwork for 2005 and 2006 right ??
