  1. Yep, people shoulnd't make more money so that they can buy a new car, or more christmas presents for the kids, but so you can tax them, and spend it all on dumb pet projects.

    Or maybe to pay off on some of your country's astronomical debt, or perhaps to stimulate the economy, create more jobs, maybe help some of those living in very serious poverty...

    Cutting spending will do more for the debt than increasing taxes. The gov cant create jobs. Only a favorable business environment. And the social safety net has been ruined by the lazy.

    The government can't create jobs? I pretty sure they have quite a few people employed...

    Maybe social security needs reforms? I don't think you should get to live a good life on state money if you don't try to get a job, but as protection for the unemployed who is trying to get a job.

  12. Indeed it is. The government can also stimulate the private sector by hiring them to do different things for the state. Like expanding wind power for sustainable energy in the future. Your country will get big problems when we run out of oil.
