1. Every track I wanted on there is on there except for Hold Me... Thank you U2 and thank you fans for voting for what will be an amazing "best of" from the tour. Can't wait.

I have resisted the urge to download any of the available tracks so far because I want to hear the entire "concert" in all its glory!

Not speculation, confirmation, the 8 tracks are going to be from the U22 CD not additional bonus tracks U2.com has confirmed this.

There's like at least a page on the forums here and at U2.com of people predicting which 8 off-album tracks they will be getting, lol.

    The power of suggestion?
  5. Just to confirm, for ahn1991:

"On May 30th EIGHT more tracks from the 22 on the double CD will be available to download  - and U22 will be in the mail."

Although I'm not too sure if I want Jay-Z on my only version of SBS...I think I'd simply use the Rose Bowl version.

I think they released 4 songs a while back too, off the top of my head i think they boots, zooropa, 40 and something else.
  7. I don't know why everybody is so keen on wanting "40" on this CD. "40" is an amazing song, absolutely amazing. But the one performance of it on the 360 tour is not a good representation of either the tour or the song. If you want them to release a truly high quality performance of 40, ask the mixers to dig into their Vertigo Tour archives for a strong performance and mix the song to U22 standards.

Or better yet, buy the audio CD of Vertigo: Live From Chicago.
  8. ^ I tend to agree with that. The Moncnton performance of ''40'' was a nice adition to thank the fans who had faithfully asked for the song to appear somewhen at the tour. But it wasn't a top notch performance, very far from that. A mediocre performance of a song, whether it's a great song or not, is not worthwhile to enter a compilation of what's supposed to be a "best of" from the tour We already have a proshot&soundboard recording of it, which is more than the 90% of other songs ever performed by U2 at any concert.

I wouldn't say it was "mediocre", even if you weren't there and you watched it on that video it's still decent, and for the people who were there it was somewhat amazing.

I'll agree that it shouldn't go on U22, because it was only played once and compared to the rest of the recordings it ISN'T up to par in terms of performance, however there's no need to beat a dead horse, the performance is what it is, decent on the video and awesome for those who were there.

Compared to all the Vertigo Tour performances, I think mediocre is being extremely generous.

Nevertheless, I'm glad they played it when they did. I'm sure it was a blast for those there and is definitely a treat for those who weren't.

Don't misunderstand me, I would have KILLED something/someone if that would have meant to get ''40'' at one of my shows And a sub-par performance is light years better than no performance at all But, as I noted on my post, we already do have a sounboard/proshot recording of it! I wish we had the same for some other rarities that were played during the years, starting with my nickname for example. You were incredibly lucky to live that "once-in-a-tourtime" performance of ''40'' and I can only be jealous of you. But the performance itself wasn't from outer space, and being there shouldn't drag you away from that fact

PS. I'm still jealous, huh? ... hahaha
