1. Standing area A, lucky to get em . Ticketmaster said only B was left but i tried a few more times and A showed up. Happy days.
  2. you lucky guys, congrats
  3. Yesterday's intro to Yellow reduced me to tears. I will upload it later

  4. This confused the hell out of me. We have an Etihad Stadium in the UK too And Coldplay are playing there
  5. I watched a video from MX/Hurts Like Heaven from Portugal the other day...wow. I am now officially jealous that the US isn't getting the stadium treatment and I'm hoping the "#ColdplayFilm" comes from a stadium show.

On a side note - The sets they are playing are nice, but I'd love to see them bring out something else other than Fix You and Speed of Sound (acoustic) from X&Y...Square One, White Shadows, Talk or Low would suffice. I know not many people like that album, but it would be great to see.

Sergio, do you know what they sound checked yesterday?
  6. Sure, I was there Paradise full band, Paradise (Chris solo on piano) and Hurts Like Heaven (full band), that was all that we heard through the PA. There was some more stuff going on because I saw Chris playing guitar and singing, but the PA was turned off so we couldn't hear it

I agree, Talk, What If or Square One would be great additions to the set. But I was fucking immensely happy yesterday with Speed Of Sound
  7. I'm happy for you Sergio! Great to know you had such an awesome time!

And I really can't wait to see them again, but I guess it won't be this year...
  8. About what I said earlier about the Youtube video from Portugal...wow... I think this one does it a bit more justice though...and Sergio will enjoy it more since he was there

  9. Whoa, I like that song, but this lightshow seems waaaaaaay over the top. O.o
  10. Oh wow.
I knew the visual effects of the MX tour were quite a bit of overkill, but I did not expect this much. The fireworks are extremely unnecessary and the lasers are used far too much.

I mentioned earlier that I felt that the visuals seemed to be competing with the music for the center of attention as opposed to complementing the songs and I think this video (along with most performances of Don't Let It Break Your Heart) really show that.

I mean, you compare this to 360 and you see a stark contrast. You've got this massive structure that dwarfs the stadium, but at the same time The Claw never felt as if it was competing with U2 for the attention. They knew when to use it, how much of it to use, and when to turn it all off.

  11. Jeez, I'm looking forward to the show I'm going to but I'm certainly not looking forward to having a guaranteed epileptic fit. It's all a bit overboard, in my opinion. The wristbands are very cool thing, but the fireworks every 30 seconds is unnecessary. It would be better to have them just as Hurts Like Heaven starts, like they did on the festival shows. The lights are a bit over-excessive too.

I have a feeling this will be like ZooTV and how U2 almost went backrupt, for some reason.
