Nevertheless, I'm glad they played it when they did. I'm sure it was a blast for those there and is definitely a treat for those who weren't.
Honestly maybe my speakers are broken, or perhaps my ears, but it doesn't sound all THAT different from the vertigo performances..sure it's not as tight and there are some bum notes, but it was probably rehearsed once or not at all, and it was a special moment for the end of the tour. I don't understand why people just can't leave it at that. Comparisons always have to be made. It's the same reason I don't understand whenever you're watching a youtube video of some band or artist on youtube, there's always somebody commenting saying "why does Justin Beiber have x amount of views and this only has y amount?" Who really cares?
And a sub-par performance is light years better than no performance at all
But, as I noted on my post, we already do have a sounboard/proshot recording of it! I wish we had the same for some other rarities that were played during the years, starting with my nickname for example. You were incredibly lucky to live that "once-in-a-tourtime" performance of ''40'' and I can only be jealous of you. But the performance itself wasn't from outer space, and being there shouldn't drag you away from that fact
... hahaha
LOL 3 years later I still think it sounds good, just not really meant to be a centerpiece of the setlists at the time.
