I don't understand why people just can't leave it at that. Comparisons always have to be made. It's the same reason I don't understand whenever you're watching a youtube video of some band or artist on youtube, there's always somebody commenting saying "why does Justin Beiber have x amount of views and this only has y amount?" Who really cares?

    It's personal preference. I personally didn't think 40 was done well, but I enjoyed it simply because it was played.


    On the topic of the actual U22 CDs, U2.com is starting to upload "official" trailers advertising U22. So far I've seen The Fly and Mysterious Ways uploaded to their Youtube channel.

    I'm not a subscriber anymore, so I can't watch them. Hence my question: do that trailers feature live footage from the respective performances?

    I am a total "40" fanatic, but it was flat. I thought Electrical Storm was near perfect, but read tons of complaints on that one. What made Storm unique, was that they will likely never play it again, and we have "40," on tons of releases. Both Cds should have been 75-79 minutes, and included everything that would fit based on the highest votes.

    I guess I should be happy that we're still getting an awesome release, but I almost wish that there were some law stating that all music cds had to be over 70 minutes.

    Agree completely about Electrical Storm, I don't understand the criticism still LOL 3 years later I still think it sounds good, just not really meant to be a centerpiece of the setlists at the time.

    YES, I would LOVE thme to utilize the complete time allowed! I still don't understand why it's U22, the average show was like U24, and even then, why limit it to that?
  9. My criticism with Electrical Storm live was the riff Edge played during the pre-chorus: at 2:47. To me it just sounds horrible and he should've just played the riff that's there on the album. I realize he probably wanted to change it a bit for the live performance, but to me it wasn't a good change. Other than that it's pretty much phenomenal!

  11. Agree. Completely ruined the performance. Don't even care that it got played.
  12. THAT'S IT!? LOL Isn't that in both the regular band version and the William Orbit mix? It's not that bad, i'm more annoyed at that screechy-winey sound that's WAY TOO LOUD in every version of that song, live or in studio. Nonetheless, it doesn't ruin it for me.
