1. Thanks guys! She started talking about an induction on Friday, so if she's talking about that then I pretty much have the job. My brother worked there for 6 years and he said that if you get an interview, then you have been pretty much got the job. Unless you completely mess up the interview. Not confirmed yet, but here's hoping!

It would only be temporary too, but it can be made permanent in the near future.

Ahh, a job. Good timing too as I'm absoutely skint at the moment
  2. contragulations and stll fingers crossed
    what is it about Kieran?
  3. Cheers Ronnie! It's at a massive supermarket called Tesco. Gigantic company in the UK.
  4. good ... be sure you'll have the day off in 3 weeks for Manchester hehe
  5. I'm also skint, and the job I just got myself (which is already permanent from day 1, and I do it at home! Awesome) is the best thing to happen in this year so far. I'm as happy as can be

Well, I'd be happier if I found someone selling a ticket (at face value) for the Snow Patrol gig in Dublin next July

  6. Yeah for those who don't know, Tesco in the UK is the equivalent of Google and Facebook combined in terms of size.

  7. Haha yep. I wouldn't be working a Wednesday anyway, so lucky me!

Sergio: what do you do as a job?
  8. Congratulations on the interview - and the job when it does come!!!

Jobs are just getting harder to find.
  9. They are. I've applied for many jobs since last October and I finally got somewhere. It was the first interview I was offered out of so many jobs.
  10. I need to start a serious quest soon myself.
  11. Oh yeah, you just send off for them or put in the applications and you don't hear back. Makes you a bit upset and annoyed but then just keep going - it's the one you least expect that you usually end up with.

And - if you like the idea of the work, then it's even better. I should have a job in the next four months, guaranteed in childcare. I think that's going to be an interesting job and a great change from the work I was stuck in for four years.

  12. Living in the UK your probably have heard of/seen an advert from www.tombola.co.uk ... It's a huge online bingo site, and they're releasing a Spanish web next week. I applied (and succeded) for a job moderating their chats and doing support and customer service. 4 hours a day from home for 800€, with national insurance and paid holidays? I still can't believe it.
