  3. I think so. Never watched him play for PSV but he's usually good when playing for Sweden. He was good today, he wasn't to blame for Serbia's goal today and he made some nice saves.

    Sweden's offensive is better than our defensive though. We have some injuries here too. We have a much better array of attackers. Guidetti was left out of the troop.

    Nah, United won't be interested in Modric now. Chelsea as you say have Hazard. As for Man City, they probably won't be interested if United aren't, they still have Nasri to warm the bench.

  7. I was hoping Man U would go for him. City has got too much players that will stand in his way like Nasri and Silva.. And Sneijder should definitely leave Inter, that´s no place for him
  8. Man Utd won't bother with Sneijder again, as far as Ferguson is concerned, he had his chance to join the club.
  9. It would be a mistake for Sneijder if he goes to City. Why won´t Utd try to get him. I mean they lacked a creative midfielder last year, which is why they brought Scholes back in.
    If they don't change something in the next couple of months City is gonna win the title again, and it's not gonna happen in injury-time against QPR

  11. It would be a mistake for any player to join Man City unless they were guaranteed a first team place. They can only register 25 players yet intend to spend a fortune this summer. Sneijder maybe should move on, but if Inter can get back to the top of Serie A, then I think maybe it's the right place for him.

    Man Utd have just signed Shinji Kagawa from Dortmund who is tipped to become a future star. MacStripey knows him very well and from what I've seen, he looks to be a talented player. Ferguson though will need to alter his trusted formation though to accomodate him. He'll be a first team regular for sure and looks to be very creative from midfield. I think Man Utd would probably be better looking at focusing on defence this season. De Gea has just started to come into his own after a shaky start. Vidic will finally return from long-term injury, so will bring that 'new signing' freshness with him. But we need a right back and we need a midfielder who is willing to protect the defence. Carrick gets forward too much and isn't that effective in front of goal. I think Carrick also lacks the defensive skill of someone like Keane, Vieira and Makelele. Three defensive midfielders who helped their club to premier league titles.

    There are some promising young players coming through, but they don't have the same chance that Beckham, Giggs, Scholes etc had. Back then, 1992, the game was less demanding, for United there wasn't any pressure from other clubs. They could afford to play with young players and give them that "we're better than you" confidence. Tom Cleverley has the potential to be as good as Scholes, he started so well last year but was dogged by injury. Welbeck has shown he has that spark in front of goal, but again, he has been injured a few times. Hernandez had a great first season, maybe last season he suffered second season syndrome, who knows. If he bounces back this year, then I believe that he will be soon become a regular once he's worked on his fitness and can play in a long string of games.

    I don't know how United will line up next year. Flat back four is a certainty. But I think the attack needs freshening up to allow a little more dominance at home to give the confidence to attack away.
  12. O yeah, I forgot about Kagawa. I'm looking forward to see what he can bring. But I don't think that's enough to compete with City in midfield. I agree with you that they need a good defending midfielder. I just can't think of anyone who's good enough. I mean, players like Keane, Vieira and Makelele aren't just laying around.. Tottenham have Parker, City have Toure, but United don't have someone who's just ruthless.

    You're right about the young players. A couple of years ago they had a pretty good generation. But they sold most of them because they weren't good enough.. I was surprised about the way Welbeck progressed last season, he was just amazing. I haven't seen much of Cleverley but I know he has potential. Upfront they also have Hernandez en Rooney, so I don't think they need another striker.
    They should indeed focus on a defensive midfielder and right back. I think De Gea will grow as a goalkeeper. It was not easy filling Van der Sars shoes..
