1. Its official. Wisconsin has rejected left wing hack Tom Barrett. Its a good day for freedom, and a good day for America. The era of big labor is over.

  2. Don't bother, he can't and won't understand it. The fact is: no matter what is it: democracy, social democracy or anything else - it will be shit if it's led by bad, incompetent people.

23 years ago Croatia was still part of socialistic Yugoslavia and it had incredibly good industry. If you lost the job, you could find another in few hours.

Today our industry is ruined, and we have unemployment rate of 20%.

Does that mean that socialism is better than democracy? No. It just means that shitty people will ruin every system, no matter what.
  3. Well, I think a democracy with the right amount of socialism is the way to go. They, socialism is what got the US up and running after the Wall Street crash. There are some vital things that the state should protect.

I see Yugoslavia as one of the better dictatorships... The communist way of getting everyone a job isn't something I like though.

Croatia is still a very young democracy. I hope you will mature.
  4. Just let the companys fail. You have to hit rock bottom to reach your full potential.

  5. I'm calling it now, this board is going to be filled with Austrian vs Keynesian economics in the matter of who replies first.
  6. Thanks captain ovious.

According to findings released on Thursday by the US Department of Defense, the suicide rate for active duty soldiers so far in 2012 is around one per day. In just the first 155 days of the year, 154 soldiers have committed suicide, a statistic only made more ghastly by comparing it to the number of American troops killed by insurgency this year — the website iCasualties.org reports that only 139 US soldiers died in battle this year.

  8. Don't care. I consider going out on your own terms a fundamental human right.
  9. I have no problem with people choosing to off themselves.
