1. At first I was thinking that this was the promo tour for the new album, but then I realized that there are so many dates and all of them are in Europe. It makes it seem like they're going right out of the gates with a full on European leg.

And with it starting only a month after the new album comes out, I hope they're ready to take that new material on the road.

They're Muse. They'll play it perfectly.

  3. They're notoriously anxious sometimes. I remember they had to synch a performance Map Of The Problematique with the CD recording because they weren't prepared to play it live.

Also, the main issue isn't really with Muse being not ready to perform the material. It's more about the fans not being comfortable with the new album, considering it will be released less than a month before. It would make sense for them to be launching a promo tour at around that time, but the amount of shows and the fact that it's all in Europe makes it seem like they are launching a new (and unnamed) world tour.
  4. Yes, it's their tour (and it's name already: The 2nd Law Tour). And yes, it's what they did with The Resistance. It was released on September 2009 (I think the 6th or 4th or something like that) and they began touring the following month.
  5. This is the first time I have heard it being called The 2nd Law Tour and the only sources that seem to back that up are newspaper articles... nothing on the official Muse site.

But yeah, still strange for them to go on tour less than a month after an album release. In fact, I didn't even know Muse was on tour in 2009...
  6. I'm going. 24th October - SECC, Glasgow.
  7. Muse have two modes, post-apocalyptic and dystopian.
    Zzz...

  8. This is really true.
That's why I can never really listen to Muse songs for a long period of time. I have to be in a very particular mood to enjoy them and that mood rarely lasts hours.
