1. The new album could have some incredible vocals if they are going with a clean vocal sound. Bono has been sounding so good when he's sung lately.
  2. Bono sounds very good, really like those versions even though he messed up between the 2nd and 3rd verses
  3. I didn't like the guitar in this performance. For me, the arrangement at the Clinton Foundation concert was superior. Maybe goes to show how indispensable The Edge is. Bono is sounding great though.
  4. Full event video, at last:

  5. By the way, I didn't say it the other day, but I get shivers when Damien comes in on the "Hoooome, how to know what it is" part. Maybe it's the fact he was filling in for The Edge or what, but I crumble.
  6. It does sound great, but to me Edge and Bono are always the duo. Obviously it's always about all four guys, but when Bono does these things on his own it's the Edge that we all want to see with him, they've been there for eachother for the past 36 years! But as Bono said "he couldn't be with us". Damien does a great job of stepping in. Would've been just as cool to see Glen Hansard step in there too.

  9. Doesnt do anything to me imho. Bit messy One performance compared to Clinton and the Amsterdam version.
  10. I think it was a very nice gesture on Bono's part, especially for him to perform Walk On.

But in terms of performance quality, there are superior performances elsewhere.
  11. One thing to keep in mind is that Bono probably hasn't sung Walk On or One since the Moncton show (I was at ), so he's bound to be a tad rusty!

And yes, I had to say it.
