1. im very excited but also very nervous!! im dreading any sign of dub step.
  2. I'm looking forward to it.
  3. A rather interesting comment I read somewhere.

"Dubstep won't make Muse bad, Muse will make dubstep better."

A bit like U2 with Achtung Baby.
  5. I doubt they're much dubstep oriented. I'm aware of the trailer, but that might or might not be a reflection of the overall album sound. What if Undisclosed Desires had been sampled in The Resistance album trailer? We would have thought the whole album was that crappy synth-pop like - while it wasn't. I think you get my point.
  6. I think there's gonna be a dubstep breakdown a bit like in the trailer in a few songs. And it's probably gonna be awesome.
  7. A couple of songs may feature dubstep elements in the 'breakdown' of the song, but it might not be full of that dubstep sound. I see it being more synthy too, but also still keeping some of the Muse sound.

We're walking into the unknown here - this could be completely different change for Muse and it might be something we're not expecting at all.

"And it's probably gonna be awesome", what an assumption... Now there's hope.
  8. Well, speaking from past experience it's gonna be awesome But we'll see... could be anything
  9. They're Muse. I assume some awesomeness is bound to appear sooner or later.
  10. From their twitter:

New song 'Survival' has been selected by the Olympics to be the main official song for the London 2012 Olympics

Matt wrote the song with the Olympics in mind - it's about total conviction and pure determination to win

The song will be played throughout the games within stadiums and on international sports TV coverage

They also posted this link: http://muse.mu/news/article/785/muse-write-official-song-for-the-olympics/

We are very excited to announce that a Muse song, Survival, has been selected by the London Olympic committee to be the main official song for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Matt wrote the song with the Olympics in mind. It's about total conviction and pure determination to win.

The song will be played throughout the Games including when athletes enter the stadium, in the lead up to the medal ceremony and also as the theme for all international TV coverage. The worldwide radio exclusive will be tonight on BBC Radio 1 during Zane Lowe's show around 19:30 and will be available to buy on iTunes and in the muse.mu store immediately afterwards.

We are honoured that the Olympics have chosen our song to officially represent the London 2012 Olympic Games across the globe.

  12. Less than 3 hours and a half to go

By the way, this is a rumoured 20 seconds preview. Nothing special, but not dubstep either
