  2. I don't want to leave a compliment hanging, thanks Aidan I noticed your photo, out of the plan window, on Flickr yesterday. The clouds are amazing, those in the background could almost be snow capped mountains. All the artists in the world can not compete with nature. The sky is an endless, ever changing canvas for spectacular art. It's our job to capture the beauty for all to see, because in no time at all, the canvas will have changed.

  5. Nice colour, reflection in the lens is a nice touch too.

    Curious: Did you consider flipping horizontally to make the lettering read correctly? I notice some Flickr users either deliberately leave it reversed or froget/can't, whilst some flip it.

    Tip: I'd burn that bit of light out at the top, just to clean it up a little.

    I know you're only having a play around but...you know, just putting my thoughts out there Other than that, I like it. Very minimal, which I've started to like a lot recently. And again, the colour, so warming.

    Anyway YES, I had thought both of cropping it to make the top small light spot disappear, and to flip it to make the letters read correctly. Maybe I do it when I upload it to flickr or facebook. Thanks again!
  7. Today, the film arrived for the Fujifilm Instax Mini 10 that I discovered. Taken two shots so far, love it. Haven't mastered it yet, but, I have 18 shots left to get a good photo. The two I took were of one of my dogs. Focusing on the second was off, but the colours and exposure were better. The first was a little dark but better focus. So hard to just rely on the viewfinder that doesn't react to camera settings. Purely for composition. Might take it in the garden later.


  8. Did you know that part of the season 2 of Game of Thrones was shot in Dubrovnik? Also, third season will also be shot there this summer.

    Films are TOO expensive for that kind of instant cameras, that's what drags me back from getting one. The (undeniable) coolness of it ain't worth 15 bucks for 20 shots.

    I'm not going to take it up full time haha, just having a play with something I haven't before. £10 for 20 shots is expensive, but it's ok for a one off purchase.

    In the meanwhile... I caught a nice butterfly flying around the flowers at the other side of the street this morning. I would have gone outside to catch a nice pic, but the zoom did it for me.
