1. When the gov controls healthcare, it controls the people. Its that simple.

  2. In a democracy, the people controls the government. It's that simple.
  3. It does not so when it forces you to pay tax? Or when you have to pay a fine?

  4. Yet they ramrodded a bill through that the majority of my country doesen't want, in a completely partisan matter, and lied about its contents.

  5. The gov does not have the right to fine anyone for inactivity.

And therefore the people, who control the government, can vote for another government, if they'd rather have a different one.

Politicians are there to dig deeper into issues than the general population can... everyone voting on everything doesn't work, therefore you vote for someone who you think can represent you. And because they can dig deeper, their opinion may be more qualified.
  7. A, the typical left wing "people are too dumb" response.

  8. Lol..and that's a typical right wing response to a well-balanced argument..

  9. Not too dumb, just not with the same amount of time for political questions as politicians. High level politicians have it as their job, the general population has other jobs. Who will have the most time to make themselves knowledgeable about a political issue?

  10. Yeah they do, try stop paying taxes and you'll find out

Imho everyone who does not provide health insurance for themselves has to be protected against themselves, or left to rot when they need it (why would I pay for someone else's greedyness).

    Pick your poison.
