  1. Out of boredom I was thinking how sometimes you overhear some really odd things on bootlegs. So I thought it would be kind of fun and funny to try and start a topic on this because I couldn't find one. xD

    example:
    During the encore of the opening night in 360 Chicago (September 12, 2009) as the beautiful video of Maya Angelou starts someone says, "are they going to play Discotheque!?" and the woman next to him yells, "THEY BETTER NOT!" LOL

    anyone of you find anything interesting or weird while listening to a bootleg?

  3. Nothing beats that bootleg from the conspiracy tour that contains a completely edited-in guitar solo during the solo section of Pride.

    or in Foxboro, September 21 2009 after Bono sings a Snow Patrol snippet of Run at the end of Still Haven't Found how Bono mumbles, "for SnowPLAY"!?!?!?! LOLOL

    If I'm not mistaken it's from the San Francisco show. I'm not sure which bootleg it is, or if it's all of them (i'd have to check) but I've definitely heard one where it just sounds NOTHING like Edge and it's "lol" funny. Like the bootleg has obviously been tampered with or something. Tomorrow I'll download the bootleg we have on file here and see if it's included!

  10. There's a Bootleg Round Table favourite from the festival in Turku in 1982. It's something Bono shouts, which when you think about it, sounds completely bizarre:

    "Hey listen, you swim when you're on your holidays, but when we're here you listen to us playing, ok?" - He then goes on to say before Rejoice: "Now, the sun is out, the people in the water..."

    Erm...what?
  11. Few years ago I was listening to one of bootlegs from Sydney (Vertigo tour) and suddenly between two songs I hear people singing "Jebote kolko nas ima, jebote kolko nas ima!"

    This is short song that football fans sing here in Croatia, and it means something like: "Fuck, there is so many of us!"



    No wonder, because there are many Croatian people in Australia.
  12. Bono in general. For someone who is in the public eye so often, you would think he would have a little practice in public speaking. He just rambles off a lot of nonsense. It's quite funny, but I love him nonetheless.
