1. hmmm well i get around 30-40 fps when i encode to h264. Also not fast, but as long its above 24 its streamable with the right setup =P
  2. Handbrake is not the fastest encoder, but by far the easiest to use.

  3. amen. Been using it since my first iPod.
  4. I want all your funds... Think I'm finally getting that new phone, Galaxy Ace. Good smartphone at an affordable price. Should have it next week hopefully.

  5. Why don't you use an app instead of converting? I'm using AvPlayer HD (no jailbreaking requred) on my iPad 2 and there is no more converting needed, it plays all sorts of files including mkv. Also plays usual subtitle formats without problems.

How do you get the videos on to the iPad? Or is it streaming?
  7. No, in iTunes, you go to your iPad, the Apps tab, scroll down and there is this part designed for adding documents to apps, you choose AV Player HD and hit Browse, choose the videos and there you go

I'll have to check it out then. Cheers for the tip.

  9. No probs. There are other players in the App Store too, but I'm really happy with AV Player HD.
  10. Having to restore my iPod Classic today. It's been running terribly slow over the past couple of weeks. Hopefully this will set it straight.
  11. Loved my old Classic. I just couldn't carry 2 devices about with me now though. I actually got my original U2 iPod out of the draw the other day. It switched on but it only dlgave me the sad face icon. Ah well still looks good.
